Mobile phone boosters ???

I have relatives abroad who complain about their mobile reception problems. Having noticed these boosters on ebay, I wondered if anyone has any experience of them, they look like a cheap swizz, are they any good?
Or is there any other type of booster you'd recommend.

  • Dont waste your money (even if they are about 49 pence each lol)  these are a gimmick. If you want to really boost the signal the best thing is to try changing handsets, Motorola generally raegarded to have the best signal power or something like a Nokia 6210 or 6310i also very well regarded for excellent signal strength.  There is a company that make indoor antenna/signal boosters which may be worth a look, their website is
