LloydsTSB card

  • The most worrying thing though is that at the bottom of the t&c leaflet, it states that interest will be charged on BTfees!! I assume this is after the Transferred Balance is cleared
    .

I asked this the other day when I went to enquire about the card at my local branch. The lady I dealt with didn't actually know the answer and had to go and ask someone else. She was advised that interest would be charged on the BT fee but any payments would go to clear the transferred balance. She did kindly point out that the amount I wanted to transfer would mean the interest charged would be next to nothing, although that's hardly the point. If I hadn't read the T&C thoroughly prior to speaking to her, I wouldn't have been told anything about this.
Anyway, I thanked her for her time, said the card wasn't for me, and have since applied elsewhere.

I think its just a matter of who you deal with in branch! I too have been told that there has now been introduced a balance transfer fee of 2%. Luckily I allowed enough time to go elsewhere and I explained to the very nice lady at Lloyds that unless my balance transfer was fee free I would have to go elsewhere. She then announced that unfortunately she couldnt get round the transfer fee but would be happy to credit my current account with the fee - therefore making it fee free!! Considering they have also given me a limit of 12.5K and have said they will also do the same for a further balance transfer in a months time - Im chuffed to bits!!! You could try asking if your branch would be happy to do the same! BE NICE! You never know your luck!!
