Wow- a 194 post thread without a SS comment- sorry guys, i must have been slacking!
Seriously- good thread, thanks Emma, although, being honest, i did originally question the reason for starting it!
This area is a seriously hot potato! I feel it morally reprehensable, and i'm sure the "old timers" ( Andy et al) will agree, for any adviser to place business sub prime without ruling out the prime option. End of story!
At the end of the day (sorry- footballing cliche) there will be only one of two reasons for placing business that can go prime, sub prime. Extra income or laziness/incompetance!

(BTW- whats happen to my thanks count- someone nicked some!?)I am a fee charging WoM Mortgage broker.I now no longer give information and opinion within the Mortgage boards, because a number of posters who, having approached me professionally, agreed my fee-which has been been made very clear at the outset, taken my advice (normally cancelling a [home visit] meeting at short notice) have then approached one of the fee-free brokers on here to arrange the very same deal I have advised.Whilst I totally concur with the ethos of "money saving"- abusing the goodwill of a professional who provides a quality service is taking it too far! :mad:0 -
Thank you stanmoresaver. It is sometimes better to rent than go with sub prime anyway, when considering what they 'could' get into if being deprived of information of their true business module.
(please add this thanks to your records as I am unable too)0 -
Does anyone know what the current repossession/eviction rates are in England & Wales? The CML site is out of date by nearly a year.0

If you take out a loan with a sub prime lender then they will ask if you use the gym or just pamper yourself! Ok, Andrew now I am not telling the truth!
No, every day I use the gym, I run, I play sports and yes pamper myself when I can afford too! Many Lenders, IFA's & Brokers will tell you they do too....but can you believe them LOL! Just kidding Andrew/Homer_J:)0
