How obsessive are you about housework?

I'm obsessive about the kitchen and the dining room table but that's about it ... downstairs toilet twice a week, bathroom about 3 times a week (this way it only takes 3 minutes max), bedrooms once a fortnight if they're lucky although I do change the bedding more often than that ... conservatory dusted once a week or fortnight, living room with new fireplace dusted regularly as I am still v. proud of it!!!0

My husband can't hang washing properly, it has to be tops upside down, bottoms right side up. He goes out there hanging trousers by the ankles and all sorts. When he isn't looking I change them. I am starting to worry myself now. :rotfl:0

I would be immaculate if I didn't live with my DD and OH who have made it their personal mission to keep my tidying and cleaning endlessly!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I love my house and having it clean it a bonus. I would hate for anyone to 'pop' round and it be dirty, smelling of dog! x
Sorry, but no matter how spotlessly clean a house is, if there's a dog living there then visitors will be able to smell it.
It's not a bad thing, everyone knows that each house has it's own 'scent' and that a house with a dog in it is normally a happy place to be.:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Things I do a lot of involve keeping the kitchen and bathrooms clean, and the rest of the house less frequently.
So things like washing up/tidying away/laundry/cleaning worktops/mopping floors/emptying bins/cleaning sinks/cleaning toilet get done every day - with three kids time is precious and I focus on things to do with hygiene - as long as kitchen worktops/taps are cleaned with antibac spray, and the toilets are cleaned etc, and I know none of us are going to get any kind of bug, I get the rest of the house done when I can fit it in!
I always make sure I vacuum every two/three days, change the bedsheets once a week and anything else as and when needed.Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Cleaning for me all depends on my work which is usually 4 nights per week but if I'm home hoovering gets done downstairs every day, we have 3 dogs and if it's not done every day it takes longer, my bedroom once a fortnight, kids do their own, their adults. Toilet gets cleaned every day, rest of bathroom weekly, kitchen surfaces daily, very little washing up as have a dishwasher. I don't iron unless absolutely neccesary, if anyone wants something ironed do it yourself.
When I'm working my daughter will normally do the things I can't.
Have just come back from holiday so spent a few days deep cleaning, that is getting rid of junk and putting things away that have been lying around for weeks, my DH is a terrible hoarder so when he's at work it's the only time I can get rid of things.
I don't think I'm obsessive but I do like things to be tidy, just curious but why are so many people obsessed with antibacterial sprays, they weren't around when my kids were little and they didn't get any more bugs than kids do now, always used diluted bleach myself of Stardrops is great for cleaning.Paid off so far Natwest overdraft £1900 Kays catalogue £200 Personal Loan £2500 Tax Credit £1300 J D Williams
