Haven and Park resorts

Hi all,
I have been going to various Haven Caravan parks with my family for the last 4 years, and my daughter has always enjoyed them, (especially Rory the tiger and the other characters). However this year we received a catalog from Park resorts which look as good as Haven, but a little cheaper.
I would love to know if anyone has been to any of the Park resorts and what they are like, are they as good as Haven?
Many thanks.

Park resort in west bay is huge but swimming pool is small and you have to book to go it and can only go in for 1 hour at a time, and wasnt cheap0

Park resorts was a management buy out of some Haven sites several years ago, so the are very similar. But Haven kept the biggest most profitable sites.
We have been to 2 parks on the isel of wight with Park resorts and enjoyed them both. Isle of wight is a lovely place.
We have also beent o Kessingland which was ok, if you avoid the chalets and is right on the beach.Always on the hunt for a bargain0 -
ive just booked the chalet at Kessingland for bank hol wkendThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

the park resort sites we have been on
Ty Mawr is looking pretty rough
these days not as well kept as other
sites they own..
The Eyemouth site was really nice
such a pretty place smaller than
other sites they own,but the kids
really liked it there and it had all
the same things as the bigger ones
I think it was Martello Beach we
stayed on one time that was nice
Also the Isle of Wight sites are
good too.
the Haven sites we have been on
Presthaven Sands,Martin Mere,
both are fine enough
Rockley Park was really nice
Littlesea was poor as was the
Blue dolphin site.
this year we are going to devon cliffs
for the first time its normaly it gets
booked up and the we are also trying
out the Burnham on Sea site for the
first time too for the second week.
In the main the Haven sites are a little
better and we always seem to get
better prices with Haven as they have
more offers than park resorts.Especially
on the late availability on the web site.:j:j:j0 -

It might be because I should be asleep (have to wake up in 3.5 hours ) but I can't find the Isle of Wight parks. Do you know the names or can you provide a link please?
EDIT: yep it's my bad googling! Can anyone recommend any of the isle of wight sites? Sorry to hijack this thread!:hello:

Hello
I think it probably depends on where you go - we have been going to Haven Seashore for the past 16 years now. A few years ago we decided on a change as the kids were older and we went to Park Resorts on the Isle of Wight. We did not like it one bit. The caravan was a Silver but it was worse than a haven Bronze and it was filthy. There was hardly anything to do on site. The entertainers were awful. And there were a lot of louts/chavs whatever you like to call them. We also tried one of their Wales sites, but stayed in a chalet -which was quite nice. But entertainment again was awful. The last couple of years we have gone back to the old faithful at Seashore. We just love it there. Two entertainment rooms. Close to Great Yarmouth, always clean.Slimming World - SW 156 - CW 152.5 GW 133 - 19.5 lbs to go
