oldage is right - classic vehicles still display a tax disc which has to be applied for each year like any other by bringing valid MOT cert etc to the post office I used to love upsetting the local misery at the post office... she hated the fact my much loved 1954 landrover series IIa didn't need to pay tax and I loved upsetting her about it because she was so miserable
As for the money - small claims court could be a solution
