Tim_Deegan wrote: »For future reference, if you want to unpack and sleep on a mattress, and still be able to return it, then you would have to use a seller who's return policy allows this, as with most retailers once it is unpacked and used then they won't take it back due to hygeine reasons. However some sellers do allow this.
I was not off topic - I was correcting incorrect information.
However the extract from you post above is clearly off topic. The OP did not ask about being able to unpack and sleep on a mattress. Oh but your company is one of the few that allows this! what a coincidence!0 -
Why does every thread regarding beds or mattresses on this site, end up as a complete bunfight !
I have not seen ONE which hasn't turned into a complete and utter fiasco, It's like being back in the schoolground ladies and gents !
Not tarring anyone in particular with this comment, but forget about mattress next day, people on here should set up ego's next day !
You should all be ashamed of yourselves !:shhh:
Now kiss and make up !:rotfl:
( wait for for normal....'' wasn't me ,it was him...'')0 -
Tim are you 'moonlighting'?0

It's not a personal attack. You come across as very arrogant in your posts. Your answer #44, your post, your words on this thread...however off topic, please enighten us as to where we can find the info. you have found?
Stop causing trouble. The OP asked a question, and Allstar4eva gave an answer that was completely off topic and irrelevant to the OP's situation. Then all you do is come in here and try and stir things up. I have said before that if you want to find that information then look for it. I'm not wasting my time for someone who will just argue anyway.0 -

I'm afraid it's the sort of people that forums often attract. When you tell people the truth there will always be people who don't agree with you, either because it doesn't fit in with what they want to be the truth, or because they don't want other people to know the truth. The really sad thing is when those people actually follow you from thread to thread.
As I've said many times before, I will always tell the truth on here. If people don't like what I say, then they can ignore me. But I'm not really interested in the trouble makers who but in and start making completely off topic remarks, which spoil the threads for those who need help.0 -

Tim , I know what you are saying, as a fellow retailer myself, I have tried to give balanced views and help on products I am experienced with. I have had it thrown in my face by members who think they know more about gas fires than I do, and I have been selling them for over 20 years.
However I would , if I were you, don't rise to the bait. Some goad you into responding and some times you can come accross as a little agressive. Perhaps it is because you are so passionate about your industryand want to give advice when asked for. Sometimes they dont ask, they just want to slag of X retailer, because they are demanding something that is not covered by DSR's or not to their liking.
You can't sell or promote yourself on here, so when things like this crop up, I would, ( If I were you), take a step back, let them get themselves in all of a twist, read the posts and thank God that they didn't buy from you.
Just remember that you know more about your industry than them and have a little smirk when the proverbial hits the fan.;)0 -

I know exactly where you are coming from, but if only it was that simple. It isn't just a case of someone wanting to slag off X retailer. What is really the problem is that there are so many arm chair experts in forums. And the worst thing is when you actually sell to someone who thinks they are an expert, when in fact they have virtually no knowledge at all. It doesn't matter how much you try to ben over backwards for them, they just think they know better than you, and that you are the enemy.
As for being agressive... maybe I am towards people who are only here to either discredit me for whatever reason. Most of the time I will ignore them. However when they are telling other people lies, then I'm afraid you do have to respond occasionally. It doesn't help when you get people who think they are legal experts making stupid remarks either.0 -
Tim remind us all what your day job is? Can you be sacked from it for bringing it in to disrepute?0
