There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

Am really relieved the 'thanks' button has gone, but because I couldn't seem to find many questions I could offer anything helpful about, despite looking ... did the ones I could, occasionally was thanked, often not. But I got to really worrying that because of low 'thanks' count, people would stop responding if I had to post a question, as it would be presumed I was taking but not giving. Wish I could post responses more, but don't want to post useless stuff just because of the pressure of the 'thanks' button. Have to say am glad it's gone!

Can't stand seeing sigs where people beg for "Thanks" votes. Yuk!!

Thats why I have sigs disabled.. those asking for 'thanks' make me seethe!.. sorry folks :p

Am with Marigold123.. Can see the need for a 'thanks button' but why not just have that without adding up totals under names?

    Anyway.. back on topic..

agreed, although by virtue of the fact that the stats are still there for the "thanks", i wouldn't hold my breath that they're not coming back.
If you feel that strongly though, why not pm martin?
The word is BOUGHT, not BROUGHT.

I don't know if you've read the "upgraded chat forum post" at the top of the freebies page but it says :

Hi everyone and welcome to the upgraded version of the MSE Chat Forums.

It's not completely finished but we can hear the howling of the masses from here so we thought we should let you back on.

There are a couple of the old functions missing but this is temporary while we work on fixes for them. If you spot anything awry or if something breaks, please post it in this thread.

    EXISTING ISSUES:

    1. The Thankyou button has been temporarily disabled but will return, some Thankyou counts may not be accurate.

    2. Last 300 posts function will need to be rewritten as it's not functioning correctly and may cause errors

We may experience a bit of slowness to begin with as everyone logs back on and the search indexes build up.

    Thanks,

    Webby

Thanks for posting these jules, I'm no good at crosswords.

I'm going agree with droopsnout, Marigold123, Gem+Dave+Kaci and mich_city; keep the thanks button but ditch the counter.

If you check the pigsback home page at the top of screen they are advertising a happy hour (12pm-2pm) £1 off all cds and dvds at cdwow today.

Wouldn't trust that fella as far as I'd throw him... he's probably taken all the clickthroughs, the Thank You button from here and the PiggyBanks and run off to a secret location in rural Wales to raise money and train those Eurovision Stress Pigs of his into doing an exciting yet simple dance routine...
