Problem with 2nd hand K800i
Hope someone out there can help me but please bear in mind I am not very experienced in this kind of problem!!

I bought a second hand K800i for my grand daughter and it worked for 1 hour then it shut down completely and will not do anything, won't even turn on.

I took it to a local repair shop who told me the phone had not been unlocked properly as the executer file had not been deleted. Apparantly the phone needs to be reflashed and this will cost £30. Add this to the cost of the phone and I may as well have bought her a new one.

Is there any way I can reflash this myself to save costs?

Please bear in mind I will need a step by step easy to follow guide.

hi pampam,
the same thing had happened to me, got told it would cost me aswell. i called up sony and the just told me to use their sony ericcson update software. worked a treat and really simple to follow.
go to sony ericcson website and look for the update service section, then
all you do is download sony's offical software , install it and then jus follow the steps.
it reflashes your phone with the newist software aswell
