Well why don't I clarify what I wanted. I would like to use my existing e mail address that I have had for many years not my new 02 one, I was assured by 02 that I would be able to use it. I thought perhaps it would route thro them somehow. I obviously dont know how it works otherwise I wouldnt be on here in the first place asking!

You misunderstand again. There are obviously many alternative e-mail providers that could be used but the OP obviously wanted to continue to use their Orange account at the moment, possibly just until they sort themselves out.
I understand perfectly well. You offered a short term solution, I offered a possible alternative for the long term. Both are equally valid.No free lunch, and no free laptop

I didnt have the foggiest idea what you were talking about and frankly was to frightened to ask!!
However following the link giving detailed instructions that you posted in the other thread I have now managed to do it so thanks.
Some of us are just casual PC users and need a bit of gentle encouragement :T0 -
but as I have stated you may find orange close down your email account... some ISPs do, others don't
( I've just checked my old orange email- which I never used anyway, cancelled their BB jan 09- its still working)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Oh dear now I have another problem, I sent a test e mail, that was fine, I then shut down e mail and re started just to check that it would not lose its settings and now all the folders have gone, I have just an in box with nothing in it. I have the Folder List box ticked under View, any suggestions where everything has gone and how I can get it back?0
