Where do you think the words panic and pandemonium come from?
  • Hi all,

I recently had a free meal courtesy of salad master. Let me tell you no set of pans in the world are worth 3300 pounds !!

The pans don't even weigh much. Which means they are cheaply made, coated aluminium with low grade stainless steel. 305 grade stainless steel is far better.

I just thought I would tell you the test they do at the end with your own pan is complete rubbish. Basically they put bicarbonate soda in their pan and the same in your pan, water is added then heated, bicarbonate soda is a acid and a very good cleaner. After the water is cooled down you asked to sip water from their pan. It tastes fairly bad, then you sip the water from your pan, it's disgusting. They then say that this taste is metal coming from your pan, its poison entering your food. You feed this to your kids. Its all lies, as obviously your own pans are not cleaned as rigorously as they one. I did the test again after they were told to leave, the water in my pan 2 time round tasted the same as the salad master one. It's all lies, these people are crooks they will stop at nothing to rip you off, be very wary of them... if you have bought a set and waiting for delivery you still have consumer rights as they have mispresented the product. You can sue.

I recall reading on Saladmaster's official site that dealers aren't allowed to exaggerate the financial benefits of becoming a dealer. Well, this new promotional video claims you'll be able to "write your own checks":

I'm unable to post links as I'm a new user. If you search for "Why Become a Saladmaster Master Dealer" on Youtube, it comes up first.

Here is the quote I mentioned above:
"Do not be misled by claims that high earnings are easily achieved."

It's on their official site. Again, since I can't post links, just Google the above quote and "saladmaster", it comes up.

Honey I'm home- I'm wearing THE saladmaster jacket..
  • I had 'won' a meal cooked at my house and the woman came yesterday evening. She was very pushy and was reading from a script. She'd been here 2 hours and wasn't cooking at all. she was saying how warming things up in the microwave is killing the family and that every other pan is rubbish.

Halfway through the presentation (sales pitch), I told her to leave and that I haven't got time to re-schedule.

She was trying so hard to sell these pans, it was almost like she was trying to brainwash us.

I spoke to her manager as well and told him that I haven't got time now. He was more polite than the woman.

My advice to anyone: Stay away from saladmaster!!!

You didn't win anything, just a headache!
  • I bought a set thinking itd be great. It sticks and turns gold even after soaking in vinegar countless times.

Told the guy I bought from and he laughed. So every time I use any of my pots or pans especially flat bread pans and pancake pan I have to scrub for an hour after use just to get only some gold off. This is the worst thing we've ever been stuck with. On top of that they are saying I have no credit and that they've been using my husbands credit which is impossible because he has 0 credit.

And now there's just way to much going on getting harrassed every day by time investment company and salad master collectors who aren't helping us sort anything out. There was one lady who is helping us and they have no record of her leaving notes about our situation. So now today I have to spend my day waiting for the dealer to call me back so I can figure out ahere to drop off my cookware and get them out of my life. $5000 for this!!!!!

and the guy I bought from was completely disrespectful to my family myself and a liar.

He lied too many times to count to everyone I was doing dinners for. That is why you should not buy from salad master

2 Oh wow. This is a terrible experience. My fianc!e and I have purchased this last week, and have buyer's remorse. They claim this is non-stick, however it's completely the opposite.

AC Tristar (the local "marketing" company here in Bradford) has pretty much said "too bad, so sad." Their customer service is horrendous, and did not tell me about their non-existent return policy. They were so eager to drop of the product at my home, but yet, they are telling me if I want a refund, to go talk to them in person. What a hassle, and a waste of my time. It was used once. Had this been communicated to us before, we would have NEVER gone with this cookware. It's expensive, it's difficult to clean, and didn't perform to our standards (or to even the expectations they have set).

We are so upset by this ordeal, that I will make it my life's work to make sure that everyone I know in Bradford will never buy from these people.

Furthermore, I am compelled to return the set I bought because the cleaning I found to be tedious. On top of this, the ethical business practice of the sales person (the presenter) I worked with for the last 2-3 weeks is lacking.
We spent $3000 on the cookware and the 2 lids don't seal as they are supposed to.

Customer service blamed me for dropping them, even though I explained that it was like this right out of the box and refuse to help me.

Representative ignored me and his life time warranty promise to me was just to make me buy the cookware, life time warranty doesn't cover this defect apparently and now I am stuck with expensive cookware that doesn't function as it was promised during the presentation.

Horrible attitude customer service for such a high end item, so frustrated. Caveat Emptor!

I bought my first set of Saladmaster cutlery approx.15 years ago.

to the tune of about $1500.00. Loved the knives. In 2013 the serrated knives became dull, so I sent them back to be sharpened, but was told they didn't sharpen serrated knives, and they no longer carried my original knives, but would replace the knives I sent to be sharpened with knives from them with their new knives. Since the new knives would not match, I was given the option to return ALL of my old knives and they would send me a replacement set for $175.00.

The new knives are not worth a ***!!!! They will not stay sharpened, have sent back a paring knife and boning knife to be replaced, but have not received a replacement yet as they are being reviewed by the warranty dept.

I hate the day I sent all my old knives back for replacement.WARNING......DO NOT buy the new cutlery!!!!!
There good cookware products when their new after awhile there not as good as they were definitely not life time handles crack my electric pot stop working after 3 yrs and it's hard to get any sales rep to follow up your complaints .It is a scam and highly overpriced for their commissions (etc) I'm sure there are finer products out there even if you had to pay a little more.

salad master is a barely entry level high end cookware.Sorry Saladmaster you've been busted once again
Saladmaster opened a new office in Hurst Texas under the Robinsons. It is two kids and their father.

They put an ad on Craiglist needing part-time people to cook in homes in the metroplex for $2100.00 a month. Well, after 22 hours of unpaid training the job became where they gave me the leads to I get the leads and from 2100. 00 dollars to commission only!

Don't be conned by them. The boy Matt Robinson was so rude to me when I didn't make a sell on three of my training home cook nights that I finally walked out of his office.

Don't fall for the scam called Saladmaster they come to your home and offer you all manners of benefits if you can cook 30 dinners in 90 days you will get a new set back as compensation. Please beware is a scam.

They change the conditions for earning your compensation so you will never get it. Make sure you close your door against this houston guy and his wife.

They are shameless and lie even in the presence obvious proofs. They target stay-home moms beware....

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BUY COOKWARE FROM THIS COMPANY!The cookware is so crappy and way over priced!

Everything sticks and/ or burns no matter how low of heat you cook on! If the sells people come knocking on your door trying to make you a free salad tell them NO! They will rip you a new one if you give them the chance! They tell you if you sign up to sell that if you cook 30 dinners in 90 days or less you will get that set you purchased for free which is a big fat lie!

They will find some way of making sure you don't do the 30 dinners by adding in new rules they didn't tell you before you signed up and ordered your set. Oh and then they reword it and say you will get the same size set you bought for free when actually before they said you get your set for free. Why would I sign up to sell and do my 30 dinners in 90 days or less to have to pay for my set and you give me another set the same size for free? What am I going to do with 2 sets?

Sell one? Ha yeah right no one is going to give me almost 10k in cash for my extra set! These dealers will lie like crazy just to get a sale! Oh and if you have problems with the dealer ripping you off or screwing you over don't email the main company because they won't do anything to help you!

They will just tell you that you need to take cooking classes and learn how to cook in them properly! This company and the "dealers" are nothing but crooks out to make money however they can even if that means lying and ripping people off! I really hope this helps others to not get suckered in and ripped off by these snakes because once they have your money that's it! The main company will tell you they don't manage or deal with the sellers and there isn't anything they can do for you!

Be warned and be careful these people are ruthless and don't like taking no for an answer they will keep on by offering you deals trying to get you to say yes.Best thing to do is avoid them and don't even let them step foot in your house!

I am unhappy with the Salad master representative that dealth with our order Michael Lavrenz. We had a "party" and changed our minds about the cookware. Not only did they neglect to leave us with the contract so we could see what we agreed to, the phone calls to use were not returned numerous times to find out what we needed to do to stop the order.

They cashed our check and we STILL have no cookware here. We were told in an email weeks later that sorry, should have cancelled in three days after the transaction. They have their money and still not cookware. The salad master company has very little to do with the individual "owners" that sell their cookware.

They are NOT trying to change lives by "great" cookware with customer service and healthy cookware. They are lining their pockets and laughing to the bank. I wish I had never let them into my home,..
  • Does anyone know anything about Saladmaster? We've been told we've 'won' a dinner for two, cooked by a chef, in our home. But there's got to be a catch - no such thing as free lunch etc.! Have been told there's a discussion on MSE but can't find it through Search. Any advice welcome.

    I'm curious about kukonchy's 2 posts.

In the first, it appears he/she has a complaint about how food sticks or burns:

and later in the same post and in the second it seems he/she tried to cancel the order and doesn't have any cookware:

So kukonchy - which is it?

Also appears to be some confusion about how much he/she paid:

And appeared to work for the company:

Jeez! There's one of these on ebay:
Saladmaster 12" Oil Core Electric Skillet.
'Only used once on day of trial cooking' - £800.
