dawn - sounds like you've had quite a week, hope you manage to get your washing sorted out. Isn't it stupid that a bit of snow can cause such disruption, they seem to manage in countries where its snowing permanently!!

thiftyscotlass - your blog card using your old stash is fab, all the colours coordinate with the flowers image really well xx

sunrise - great additions to your blog, the valentines one is funky

rainmac - hope Thomas enjoys his party tomorrow, have lots of fun!

mary - hope you are feeling better soon, I hate tummy bugs they just completely knock you off your feet dont they :(

wam love your blog card, the image is fab and the papers look fab with it xx

padster - both your blog cards are very cute, I particularly love the scalloped edge one ;)

hope everyones keeping safe and warm, I can't believe the snow has gone on for so long and I am getting quite fed up with it all now!!

Dawnteabag - glad you rescued the car, but sorry about your washing machine not being delivered. They say things come in threes, so hopefully your luck will change soon.

    .

    Ha ha!
My friend said that to me on New Years Day so it would appear that I am in my second multiple of 3. That was because a) washing machine broke down then b) the day after I ordered a new washing machine my shower started to leak through the ceiling into the lounge and then c) my phone just decided to stop working on new years day!

LAtest is that JL will try again on Wednesday (but I'm not holding out too much hope on that given the weather orecast for next week) I've done 2 essential loads of washing at Mum's this afternoon and left 3 more with her to do at her leisure

Have sussed out a way to be able to use sink. Went down to Wickes to see if there was some sort of bung that went in the fitting the washing machine pipe went in. Apparently not! But the helpful chap there came up with some suggestions for a home made temporary fix. I just had to find a circle of the right diameter in a waterproof thickish material - had visions of my cuttlebug and nesties being put to a very proactical purpose for a while. Bought a draught excluder for my lounge door today and you have to cut the foam bits down to size to fit weither side of the door and HURRAH" the diameter was just right so I cut a little slither off and have tested it - so far no water. Washing machine now in lounge as also managed to work out how to disconnect the water supply on the washing machine so I can just about manage for a while. Fingers crossed

See things are on the up.....

Except now my water stopcock is leaking on to my kitchen floor.

    I QUIT!

No crafting from me tonight - I buought a box of Belgian chocs whilst I was out and some nice beers. I've left a container under the dripping !!!! :embarasse and am going to pretend 2010 starts tomorrow
