thanks rainmac and tomsmom I too have ordered a copy. I had problems with paying by card (can never remember the card verification passwword and don't usually have a problem changing it but this time the transaction failed) so have reserved it to pay by phone which I will do tomorrow. Not done that before so will see how it works.

I am after ordering some nesties. any recommendations of best/cheapest place would be much appreciated - thanks!

I also fancy trying embossing - what do I need?

dawnteabag glad you managed to see your sister. hope you and &son have fun with all your crafty gifts

rainmac hope your boys have fun on their scooters

There are two online shops doing 4 sets for £60, tried them both on Boxing Day but couldn't get the offer to work, it was coming up full price. I've emailed to ask how I can get the offer and am waiting for a reply.

One is Once upon a Stamp, the other is Oyster Stamps. There might be more but I thought I'd alread spent too much time on google :rotfl: . I think I spend more time on the computer than anything else :o, perhaps my new year's resolution should be "stop computering, start card making"!

Hi everyone - not read back yet so hope you have all had an amazing Christmas and are going to have a fabby New Year.

I'm going to take a picture later of the gorgeous pressies I got from GlitterMum in the Santa pressie swap - I'll post it over on CP. One of my favourite pressies on the day :D

Hope you are all good, this is the first chance I've had to get online and dd is hovering to kick me off again :D

Hi I bought my nesties from once upon a stamp and I'm fairly sure that when I went through checkout it said full price but they actually only charged me £60. Delivery was really quick with them too!

I so want to get back into crafting after my recent lapse, no pennies though so I will have to work with what i have got. Can any of you lovely ladies inspire me as to what to do?

    Hello all :j
Tidied up my card making drawer..............:j Much needed -I was amazed at the stuff I'd got I'd forgotten about.
Plumber rang to say he was coming today to sort out radiator and other kitchen pipe so couldn't seem to get on with much else but did cover a book shaped box I'd had some Monet notelets in a while back (all used now) I'd got some paper with purple and grey hydrangeas on........looks really nice........was going to fill it with assorted cards for MIL's birthday in June as she can't get out to shops but think I'll keep it and do something else for her.

mumhug............have a scout round the house.......it's amazing what you can find that'll do for cards. Scraps of material and buttons are always good I think.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

What have you already got, what do you like doing?

Google "free digital stamps" which you can print off and colour. Also google for images of characters you might like and print them off.

I have a friend who likes decoupage, she buys the cheap boxes of Christmas cards where there is about 4 or 5 of the same design, cuts them out and decoupages them.

She also makes toppers from cards received, also Christmas tags.

Pound shops have things in their craft section.

Free background papers can be found on the 'net too for you to print off.

Can't think of anything else at the moment.
