o and what do people use to store the craft stuff in, mines in about 6 cardboard boxes ina fish tank at the moment lol0 -
I store all my stash in the Really Useful Boxes, you can pick them up in the Tesco Extra shops as well as W H Smiffy's, although they don't have a great range, hard wearing with handles for carting stuff around in. Their 12" x 12" are brilliant for scrapbook papers especially those papers that have an extra inch edge.
BA cabin crew are going on strike! Bu**er and double bu**ger, we are waiting!
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Sorry I haven't been around again - I seem to be permanently buried under a pile of xmas presents - I've only just managed to climb my way out!!! I am still sooo behind craft wise - I want to make loads more xmas cards but it takes me hours to make just one - I know I must be the slowest card maker ever!!! l've just treated myself to 10 packs of self-adhesive pearls for 9.99 - I can't post a link because the site has remembered my details. I got them from " the hobby house" its free postage over 10 quid and these are new to the site and are at this special introductory price. They have the pearls and gems too for 1.25 a pack and they are gorgeous - plus they do 10 packs for 9.99 on a multibuy - look for them under "new products for dec".
Thriftyscotslass - your blog looks fantastic - I am now a follower!
Lei-Armstrong - fabulous cracker card - what a great idea!!! I love the shiny gold card - ditto for your teddy card - he is cute!
Craftygranny - that's great news about the funding for Alicia's treatment - I am so pleased for you and your family.
Rusty - sorry to hear that you've been suffering. Your bird house is lovely - such a unique way to give a gift - I'll have to get some myself. Beautiful xmas cards - they look so effective with the sparkly gems.
TomsMom - that's great news that your OH is home!
Sally - your cards and towel cakes are lovely - I don't know how you find the time to make so much!
Paddingtondoo - really pretty xmas card - I've got some nutcrafters stamps but I haven't got round to using them yet!
Rainmac - I hope you're feeling better - congratulations on your win - that stamp is lovely!0 -
Hello all.............looks like you're all busy as ever.
Melissa - you're not the slowest card maker ever.........I am but my results aren't anything as good as yours.........
Just had phone call from 13 yr old boy we fostered last year......well up untill I was in hospital this year then he was moved from us. He's coming to see us on Friday and last year he used to love helping me make odds and sods........what on earth can I 'create' for a boy that age in such a short space of time............ plus some kind of card that will probably take me an age to do..........
Oh.........and can I ask you all, for OH, to do the 'inside out' thing again or Wednesday this week ? We see the consultant again and are hoping that this 'abnormality' that had shrunk has shrunk some more...........so please please..............I know you're all so busy but you never know.............it might just work:rolleyes:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I'm struggling to make what I need to too  Got millions of coaster calendars and post-it note holders to do and have run out of s*dding coasters. Just ordered more so fingers crossed they get here in time
I meant to have your Xmas pressie posted by now Mel but it's not ready, will try and sort it in the next couple of days, at this rate it will be a new year pressie
I'm feeling better now thanks, not great but better. The anti-biotics are definitely working.
Hope everyone's ok and getting sorted for the red suited man to appear :santa2::wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Bet you are really looking forward to catching up with him, how lovely that he's coming to see you. Pressie ideas: a door hanger? Cookie mix in a jar? Mini scrapbook with quotes about teenagers... sorry can't think of anything else at the mo...

Soo glad i'm not the only one - I can only make 1 card a day! It seems to take me hours but I blame it on the fact i'm a perfectionist lol x
Edit: Just updated my blog http://leialegweak.blogspot.com/0 -
No! I'm the slowest, I seem to spend ages just thinking about what to do, then spend time looking for the bits to do it, then find it wont work, then sit & think again of just how to make it work, then change my mind altogether, etc etc round & round it goes & sometimes I get so bad I go out & buy:eek:
Mary-op No problem with inside out here - consider it done. Think door hanger would be a good idea for foster boy as it might make where he is now feel more personal. Are 13 yr old boys into smellies?
Lei - Love your trifold it looks so intricate it'd take me a year never mind a day to do!
Mel - I'm surprised you have time to come on here at all with three little ones to care for & all the Christmas stuff to do - I struggle and there's only me & DH. Luckily, all my 'littlies' now tower over me & will all be over 21 this year so cash to spend is king but while it's easy, guess what? I feel cheated!!
Rainmac - Glad you're feeling a bit better.
The wife - Oh sorry to hear about BA upsetting your plans - didn't realise you were going away for Christmas. Hope you can make alternative plans to go. According to TV tonight their wages are double those @ Virgin!
Alyssa - My stash is all over the place,(like me!) some in shoe boxes, some in the boxes it came in - most seems to get spread all over my desk so sorry I'm the last one to advise you.
Thank you Tomsmum for explaining how you stick stuff down I'd never thought of doing it like that (p'raps why it's usually crooked)!
Louby Lou - Hope all went well today!
Can I ask please? I needed some 4" or 5" square cards today & whilst I could make the cards the right size I didn't have envelopes the right size. What do you all do in this situation? Use a bigger envelope? make your own envelope? OR Can you buy 'odd' size envelopes anywhere?0
