sorry haven't been around for the past few days - have finally got around to making some cards which I hope to upload to my blog in a couple of days time. So spent all day Friday trying to get my presents wrapped to see what I actually need to buy still

Okay can you lovely ladies tell me how on earth it is possible to have this thread on the MSE site lol. I have returned from Hobbycraft at Hull having spent £114 and I only went to see if they sold the Cuttlebug and how much it was and they don’t sell them apparently. Okay three bottles of paint are for the mindees and a watercolour pad and brush were for Pa in Law for Christmas. I bought 2 sets of Promarkers (well someone on here did say I had to have some lol).
    Kate :hello:
  • Glad the pain is easing Rusty.
Floor is finished - just lots of mopping now to get the rest of the grout off - a major first though was OH insisting on putting all the tools back in the garage straight away plus he built the shoe rack for the back of the door and put it up - think this was mainly so cat can't wee in his shoes anymore unless she bungie jumps off the freezer and she's far too lazy for that :rotfl:.

No crafting for me again tonight my hands are far too sore - need to find me posh handcream :D - plus have just started Eclipse so may be a few days :rotfl:

Wow we are all busy bees aren't we I've never known it so quiet on here!

Thank you Bunbun I'm feeling a bit brighter today but DH is still feeling sorry for himself. Your kittens new toy looks fantastic & your boys look so angelic in their santa hats. If they like theatre and I think you said they were in cub scouts do they have Gang Shows in your town?

Nannyboo - £114! Think the best place/price for Cuttlebugs is Craft Superstore. Look forward to seeing your cards.

Padster - Our en suite was done 7 years ago & I'm still trying to get overspill of grout off!!! so please don't leave it. Lovely mental pic of bungee jumping cat:rotfl:

Gemma & Jammy - At least people WANT your cards I'm sat here looking at my efforts & even I don't want to send them.

Marg - lol I bet your cards are lovely!!!
Well I managed to sort out my blog award from craftygranny so have put it on my blog and would like to pass it on to:
Caroline, Gemma, Leia, Sh3ri3 & The Wife (if that is ok?).

Right, am going to try and get my two boys christmas cards done tonight & my hubbys if poss. However, I have absolutely no idea what to do - other than they might be easel cards!! Tried to do a penguin one from one of the magazines - Nightmare!! - my cutting out is terrible - so think it needs to be an image that I can stick on. Do you think people are born with a natural ability to cut things neatly!!??!!

Ali b - I certainly wasn't:rotfl: even with a half decent trimmer I cut wonky, my excuse is I'm left handed & right eyed.

Marg - lol - I thought it was only me!! I look at other peoples work and mine pales into insignificance!!! I cant crease/cut or stick straight!!
  • Ali - you need an xcut trimmer and a scorpal (not that I've used mine yet) :rotfl:.

My cutting out used to be carp as well but I've got a lot better recently - it helped making friends with my craft knife so I can do the fiddly bits :D. I cut most of mine out with the biggest scissors I can find - it's easier to turn the card rather than the scissors if that makes sense .

3rd lote of mopping underway shortly - am going to treat myself to a decent one with my clubcard vouchers next time I'm in Mr T's have one of them stupid ones that looks like lots of bits of cut up j cloth at the mo and you can't get a good scrub with it :rotfl::rotfl:
