HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAINMAC - hope you have had a great weekend in London.

Loving the cake - the wife. I'd give you a perfect 10 if you could do a dive like that :rotfl:

Beautiful cake and baby keepsake box Sally. Hope the craft fayre goes really well for you today.

Congratulations on making so much money at your fair - you must be thrilled.

Fab cards Rusty, Helping Hubby, Louise, Paddingtondooo, Lei.

Choccy - almost ready to send your Christmas swap stuff, just waiting for one item to come. Hopefully will be with you by next weekend.

Gemm - hope your finger is better today, and definitely get your OH to do the litter tray, until it's healed.
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

Gemm, once you've got your scor-pal scoring cards become a doddle. With the board, especially the metric you will be able to crease your card without measuring with just a gentle mark on the card and them cut it. No more rulers. Also the swing cards and anything like a trifold is easy. You'll be able to make boxes, bags and so much more.

Having had the imperial and the metric as soon as it was available the best advice I can give is check out the scor-pal website for loads of inspiration. They are a sponsor of splitcoaststampers and there is a link there. Sign up for the scor-pal email letter that comes through almost daily to look at other people blogs for things they have made. Have a look here too as Kitty Franken does the tutorials for the Scor-pal website. You'll put every other scoring board awy after getting this and the metric scor-mat is also now in the UK. Gotta find me a supplier, if anyone finds it in stock, please let me know.
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

with all these scor-pals around I am starting to think I might need one. everyone was buying them at the NEC but I didn't think it was something I wanted back then - but now I am thinking I might change my mind! I already have a pink Dovecraft scoring board, whats the advantages of the scor pal over the one I already have?

I have a pink Dovecraft one too Gemm.

I am finding it awkward when making different cards and i need to score at say .... 2 3/4 as its not marked on the pink board, so i have to get a ruler out and find the 'nearest' mark then jiggle it abit :D
So for me its my sanity that needs saving. :o also H asked what i wanted for Christmas. When i said a scor-pal, he said no, something for you... So im going to buy my own :rotfl: then laugh at him struggle what to buy me ;)

@Rusty - I love your lace tree card. When you say 'inked' do you ink it directly from ink pads? I'm sure I've tried something similar in the past and failed miserably getting ink over the non embossed parts.

    .
]I struggle with inking too but I did do one of those lace trees with metallic promarker. Just followed the lines - was simple(ish) and quite effective.
Am off out to lunch so will post a piccy when I get back
  • how do you use promarkers are they just like normal pens, ie colour in ta da....

    happy birthday ranimac
