Morning everyone, the sun's out temporarily in Essex but blooming windy!

I have a question about card candy. Are they sort of like little domes/caps or solid and how do you fix them to your card?

    Ta!

You're right, they aren't solid. I attach mine with dinky 3d foam pads and that works well ;)

  • rusty/rainmac - as far I can tell, 3d gloss is the same as glossy accents (never used glossy accents, it was too much money too late in the day at the NEC). It takes a few hours to dry, but the effect is great. It took me a couple of attempts to get it right - you have to make sure there's no air bubbles when you're done, and I was a bit too sparing with it initially. You have to fairly flood whatever you're coating. The effect is great on coloured images as well. At £2.99, it was a cheaper way for me to try and get a glossy effect.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Yep, I remember now  ;) I can tell I am going to become easel card obsessed. Made 3 small sized ones for children last night and finished them off this morning... http://rainmacsplace.blogspot.com/

3d glass is Anita's version of glossy accents I think? I've got some but have never used it, JHB how long does it take to dry?

Beautiful as always!! Which instructions did you use?

Never heard of glossy accents either :rotfl: oh dear how bad am I!

Edit: Thanks JHB, you posted whilst I was typing!

First of all I printed off some instructions and they made no sense to me at all so then had another look and found these and then had a go and did it right first time. It is so easy once you cut your card and you can make them any size you want...

Thanks, rainmac and rusty! I've just found a seller on ebay who's doing loads (250) in white and different colours for 0.99p plus 70p postage but I had no idea how you fixed them, but I know now. :D

rusty, they were on your swing card and so off i went for a lookee.

glossy accents, the tip given by the lady who sells those huge alphabet stamps on create and craft was to run a thin line around the edge of where you want to gloss and then fill in. Don't shake the bottle as this will put in air bubbles that you just can't get rid of, well, I can't :D
