Hello Thrifty - that sounds like one heck of a tough time you've been having. I hope you find that crafting will give you some much deserved time out.
PrincessPoppy - your makes are lovely - the bracelets are divine!
Congrats Dragonllew!
Looking forward to X factor - but have done no crafting for days - am getting withdrawal symptoms!0 -

Snipped you Padster
I'm an honorary scot being married to one although I'm far more stingy than he is:rotfl:
Loved that - it applies here too!!
Welcome Thriftyscotslass - sorry to hear of your woes - I can empathise, my nephew has mental health problems that only emerged at a similar age.
I agree what the others have said I've not been making cards for long but started by looking at cards I liked then worked out how I could make something like it. The essentials are double sided tape, good scissors & card & as Paddingtondoo said there are even free papers on line if you've a printer.
Well done on your win Dragonllew!
Lovely card Mr Sunrise.
Melissa - we are all real really! but I know what you mean I feel more 'at home' with you all than some folk I've known for ever.
Princesspoppy - Fab makes! wish I could sew.0 -

thrifty - glad to see you made your way over.
padster - love your diary and teacher's pressies. I can't believe how many of us find it difficult to cut into a lovely piece of paper.
princesspoppypop - the new blog is great. You've got some amazing stuff on there, but the felt bookmarks are my favourite! I might have to [STRIKE]steal[/STRIKE] borrow that ideasome people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Hello everyone!
Finally got my pc back so should be able to take part a bit more over here from mow on altho rather irritatingly my eyes have gone AWO again (metaphorically speaking) and rather worryingly, the hospital seems to have no idea what is going on. Still I can just about manage with my specs.
In a way, it was a blessing that my pc wasn't here to distract me because I've been ever so busy making things for the school Christmas Fair today. I' made lots of notepads and peg magents. I didn't have a stall to myself which was nice in some ways and I think I probably raised about £50 for the school. Will post pics of my makes on my blog when I get chance.
Hope you all had fun at the NEC. I enjoyed the day immensely when I went on Sunday but didn't actually manage to buy much of the stuff on my list. So I just bought other stuff instead and am now ordering my list off t'internet so I'm getting the best of both worlds.
Can feel a stinker of a cold coming on so I'm planning on a night on the sofa under the duvet to try and ward it off so I can do some scrapbooking tomorrow.0 -

welcome to the thread Thriftyscotlass, I hope you have lots of fun here! like your older DS, I also suffer with OCD and depression (although under control at the moment!) so I can empathise a bit with what you are all going through in that respect. you sound like a very strong person to be dealing with your current situation so well
dragonllew - well done on winning the challenge!
