To the N.E.C 12 - hope you've all had a great time and can't wait to hear all the gossip!!

Rusty - I wondered whether you'd decided to stay in Aberdeen - I hadn't heard about the flooding - glad you managed to get back safely and in time for the nec. I posted you a couple of bits off this morning.

Paddingtondoo - your daughter's xmas cards look fabulous - I'm sure they'll raise loads of money!!!! Your bags, scarf and notebooks look great too!!!! Your magnolia cards are stunning - I love your colouring, and finally I love your calendars - especially the bears! Great news about your hospital visit!!!

Craftygranny - I posted you a few cards for Alicia's appeal today - I hope they're okay! I love Kaitlyn's descriptions of us all - she sounds like such a sweet girl - I especially love her description of me - although I think if she met me it might change!!!! Congratulations on your competition win!!!!

Mrs. Tidge - I love your new friends - they are so cute!!!!

Saveapenny - I am intrigued by the idea of these pongy drops!!!!!

Marg - I'm glad your swap arrived - sorry it was so late!!!

Louby_Lou_Lou - great idea for a challenge. I use blush and ivory for skin and sometimes dusky pink for rosy cheeks. I use cinnamon, cocoa or henna for hair. My favourite colours at the minute are duck egg blue and mint green! Your xmas cards are fabulous!!!!

Ali - hope you're feeling better today - I posted your goodies off this morning - hope you like everything!
  • Am I the first one back & online?
What a lovely bunch of gals I met at the Nec! Thanks for making it a fabby day ladies xx

& Rusty, a true MSE star, was haggling away for us. SHe managed to get money knocked off some nesties for anyone who wanted them in the group.

All fun and I am too worn out to type to be honest so shall let others come & update on the highlights off the day

Thank you Flourgirl I'm so glad it arrived, sorry it was late - I posted it in the Post Office on Monday lunchtime - I knew I was cutting it fine but had hoped it might have got there on the Day. How did you get on at work? Did you get Per Una or stash vouchers? I love that idea so much.

Sylph -Good to hear you got back safe - from my memory of going North on the M1 on a Friday it'll be ages before Rusty gets home.

Yup, she wont be home till late, specially as shes taking detors to take Choccy & Bunbun home as well. I hope she manages to get a restful nights sleep as its been a very very long day for her.

  • What a day! It was exhausting but so much fun!
Photos from the day and of my stash are on photobucket.
We all got some real bargains - several of us wanted scorepals and nesties so I asked the guy if he would give us a bulk discount, then when the rest of the gang turned up we bought everything in one go. We ended up getting nesties for £12.50 a pack and the scorepals for £22.50. My back and feet are killing me now! I'm sitting down with a nice cold drink ;) and DD has just cooked me dinner. :)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
  • I've had my dinner now, and I'm feeling a bit more human!
I just wanted to add how amazing it was to meet up with everyone. It was great to put names to faces, and everyone was really lovely. It was funny how excited we were all getting over the same things (promarkers, stamps, and goodness knows what else!).

We'll have to keep an eye out for Quick Cards magazine - a girl took a photo of me, Mrs. Tidge, Gemma, Skiergirl and Popkins and asked us about our buys and bargains. She said we'll be in the magazine, and she'll send us free copies and some freebies to share amongst ourselves. :D

Just popped in quick to do a last page catch-up, I'm hot choccy monitor again tonight. So glad those who bought the Scor-pal did so, you will love it! It's so easy and pop over to Splitcoaststampers for projects as Scor-pal is a sponsor of the site. Nesties at £12.50!!! A real fabby bargain, lucky peeps!

I've been using the Copic ciao markers this week and I'll do an update on CP when I get back. Me 'n the girls have been using them and the Promarker that Gemm kindly sent me on some images I printed off and sprayed.

Looking forward to all your news.

when I get back sunday I'll sort the challenge.
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!
