Hi all! Been a bit quiet here, went over to my mum's last night to stay and then we all went up to London for the boys' first ever visit. They had a fab time but we are all very tired now, me mainly because we had gorgeous moules last night but I think I got a rogue one and was literally up, throwing up, between 11.30 and 2.30! Once it was gone I was all better and gobbled a delicious meal in London and we're having takeaway now!

Am working on a new project for my craft fair, will hopefully be able to show something tomorrow.

We've a busy one with halloween parties and birthday parties to go to so may be quiet - have a great time yourselves!

PS Lei- I think it's just Once Upon a Stamp who have the rights to the Just Rite stamps. Disaster here though - can't find my 1 5/8 circle nestie which seems to have the best stamps!

    Flourgirl,

These are lovely, I especially love the "Just For You" toppers, did you make them too?

Flourgirl, have a fantastic time away. I love your latest mints, they are all beautiful :D

Sorry clipped your post. Thank-you for your comments

I have made these tonight for my guests at my birthday dinner on Saturday night. They are so quick and easy to make. You only need a few bits of card. One piece 11cm x6cm make a score line at 5cm and 6cm and fold then decorate as you wish. The white ones are made with watermarked pearlised card. I have done some Christmassy ones too with the glittery stickers and they look fab.

My stash didnt cost that much as i ordered it all from arty miss.
They have a clearance section so i got all of my stash for £70.

I got the sizzix alphabet dies from sizzix they were reduced from £65 a set to £13. Which i was really happy with as my local craft shop sell each set for £70. They fit in the cuttlebug.

And the pro markers were from amazon (£16), which reminds me i still havent played with them yet.

I'm going into town tommorrow to get some cello bags so i can send some cards to alicia, and to get some more card as i seem to only have xmas colours. Also hopefully collecting my scallop edged nesties from the craft shop they were free as i filled my loyalty card with stamps and used my voucher to get them. :T

I ''need'' some more ribbons to finish my christmas cards.

And i wont be held responsible for anything else that jumps into my basket.

So please stop reccomending products as i cant help but buy them.;)

I read on a post somewhere about glitter pens that are for precision but cannot find the thread, googling keeps chucking up kids glitter pens and I am looking for fine nibbed better controlled ones than that for my Christmas cards, do you ladies have any recommendations please? x

Also, where do you ladies recommend for cheap card/card blanks?

Sorry to be question, question, question, tis a bit overwhelming of choice when you first start and don't want to go down the road of 'buy all the stuff you first see and then find it is over prices and/or rubbish and quit said hobby' again :o

I buy my card stock from my local craft shop, i can buy a box full for £5 in all colours and textures. DF always manages to squeeze loads more sheets in than me and if anyone says he's over filled it he just winks at them.

I cant buy card online - i need to see it and feel it as i find online images dont show the quality /texture too well.

I have a gullotine, so i make my own card blanks by cutting & folding. Works out loads cheaper/

I dont now if this is what your after pen wise - i have a few of these pens and there fab. But i do tend to just use the gelly roll glaze black pen.

Just catching up - on posts this week, since it has been half term, and I have been busy entertaining my boys. I've had a really lovely week with them and don't want to go back to work on Monday, but have to if I want to buy more stash.

Fab Christmas card on your blog polly.

Rusty and Flourgirl – hope you have lovely weekends with your families. Flourgirl thanks for giving details of your mint holders and the measurements. I made a couple last night, and they are really easy. Have put some twilights in them as they were on offer in sainsburys today (97p a box).

Mrs Tidge - glad you had a good trip to London with your kids, I bet they thought it was one big adventure. My kids love going up to London, and love sitting up the top of a double decker bus in the very front seats.

Craftygranny – fab nappy and towel cakes. I’ve made the cards for Alicia and will post them off to you tomorrow – I’ve added them to my blog too.

Fantastic load of goodies for your stash Princess woo – have fun using it all.

Jem1276 – I too have a guillotine, and cut and fold my own card blanks. I went through a phase of buying them with envelopes, but found that some of the cards were never cut straight, so ended up altering them. I now buy cheap envelopes and make my own, and they are always perfect :D.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

    xx

Hi Princesswoo - can I ask which alphabet you bought? I've had a look on the Sizzix site but can't make up my mind!

    Thanks
