Making Cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (Part 3)

Im sure i saw this idea on an earlier thread. Have any of you done this before, if so how many cards did you put in the box? and was it recieved well?

I made boxes of cards last year for xmas presents they went down really well I used a gift box to put them in bought some cheap address books off ebay and covered them to match the box and made a birthday planner which I stuck in the lid of the box and added a pen I think I put in 10 or 12 cards.

It's so easy - I'd never done one before and only started mine in the summer. It's very addictive though - I almost spend as much time blogging and blog hopping as I do crafting

Hi to newbies!!! back from my bruv's wedding in Mauritius which was fantastic (the actual wedding) although the holiday itself was eventful for all the wrong reasons - first I was ill then the bride and then my mum!! will hopefully catchup over the weekend...

Well I was very lucky today - firstly the postman brought me my atc swap from paddingtondoo - it was fab and featured a cute bear relaxing against a huge cup of coffee - she also sent me a lovely card - thanks so much padster!!! Then I got my nook and pantry papers that I've been waiting for for over a week, and then my punches arrived from qvc. I ordered some new martha stewart ones - you get a border one and a corner one and they match up so you can punch a continuous border around a piece of card. I'm having a play at the minute and hopefully will show you a card soon so you can see what I mean.

They were from my little local craft shop which is actually in a farm but I'm not sure what make they are.
They are 12x12 sheets of card which are sold singularly. This one was double sided and I think the style was 'figgy pudding' or something like that.

sorry, I'm not much use am I?
I've only just started with paper crafts and don't actually have much of a stash - I just kind of buy things and use them more or less straight away.

I think quite a LOT of my spare cash will be going on punches and stamps now as I find papercrafting so relaxing.

Hello everyone - and goodbye again!
It's been a heck of a week but I'm off on my hols tomorrow. Somehow, I always seem to end up working twice as many hours the week before I go away so I'm beginning to think it would just be easier to never take holidays at all! Finally escaped the office today at 7.30pm. Then had to pick up "&son". Picked up chips and curry sauce for tea (healthy eh!) and nearly got home before I realised that Mum had my housekey. Then when we got to hers she couldn't find it - and the spare was in my house!
Found it eventually but was after 9 when I got in. Am now packed but exhausted and all hopes of coming back to a tidy house are out of the window. On the plus side, if anyone tries to burgle us they'll just leave believing someone else has beaten them to it and ransacked the house!

CT - Glad you got your stash - I was praying that it would get to you before those naughty posties went on strike (altho I think it's quite hard to tell the difference between strike days and normal days on my delivery round!)
