Well i finally went to hobbycraft and it was a waste of time, i made the silly mistake of taking my mum shopping with me and i can tell you it was worse than taking my 4 year old.
Her: If you know what you want why don't you just go and get it?
Me: I am just looking around for a bit first, i will find it on my way around.
Her: just ask a member of staff so we can go.
Me: i might see other things i would like.
Her: god they know how to charge.
I walked off to look around and found her sitting at the exit waiting for me.

After all that they were completely out of stock of clear stamp blocks and non out back.
I did buy this as i need a little one and it was a good price but i have tried it tonight and it is rubbish it will cut paper but quite roughly and won't go through card.
Do you think i could put it back in it's packaging and take it back?

I made 2 more tea bag holders then that is it i don't want to be left with lots of stock after the craft fair.

I have been looking for scallop and circle punches for ages but as i am tight i won't pay £8 for one been looking on other craft forums where people sell/ swap bits but nothing has come up yet. I did get a crafters companion quite cheap and almost new.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
    but i want never gets!!!
  • louby-lou-lou - I'd definitely return it. I had a small cutter from heaven knows where, it wasn't worth the effort of getting it out and putting it away! Now I've got the x-cutter guillotine I'd never use anything else. I use it all of the time, and it takes 12x12 papers.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Rusty you must be joking he just said well what do you expect wearing stupid shoes! (wedge sandals)

I get these stupid comments all of the time from my dad and OH and anyone else!!! .. I live 95% of the year in flip flops (probably why my back is so damaged) but this is because I have such wide feet that anything else just hurts me lots!! even trainers rub my little toes :( the physio man told me that my little toes hurt because they are bent round and almost under my foot :confused::confused: think he was politely telling me I have deformed feet!!

  • Louby - are you sure we're not related your mother sounds just like mine :rotfl:. I'm just frightened I'm going to turn into her when I get old(er) and grumpier (OH would say I am already :p)
I'd definitely take it back - they can only say no.

Got my latest nesties from here - made offer to make it nice round £15 (didn't dare go any lower :c)
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

They were at Harrogate and prices were the same as on the website - did have the 4 for £60 there though.

Thanks for the idea about the dress Rusty - shame I sold her summer dresses on eBay a few weeks ago as she wouldn't wear them  Some kid was teasing her that her legs were hairy not that she ever wore them before that

LOL at flourgirl - DD's dad called his new wife the wicked stepmother when I picked her up a couple of weeks ago - was speechless for once :c))

Doesn't matter if she does/doesn't have hairy legs as dorothy wore white socks, but white tights would work just as well ;)

Fab teabag holders louby, as for the cutter take it back, dont bother putting it back in the packaging however do take that packaging back aswell. It is not fit for purpose therefore you can ask for a refund ;)

Your teabag holders are really cute, louby and defo take that cutter back, certainly not fit for its purpose.

how does the best offer thing on ebay work? do you just offer what you like and then they have to sell it to you at that price if yours is the highest?
