Wife Ben looks gorgeous, I'm sure he will be a faithful companion for you. Beautiful cards too.
Could I just ask for a bit of advice please, I'm looking at buying some oval nesties, a while ago you very kindly sent me some stamped images cut with oval dies, do you use the classic scalloped ovals in large please. Also the small sentments you do, are they the smallest dies? They look very classy on your cards. Thanks x

flourgirl, the only ovals I have are the classic ones, scallop and plain not the petite ovals.

Most of the sentiments I use are printed onto card and then cut with a nestie. I try the lettering out first in Word, print it out onto cheap printer paper and then adjust the point size until it fits into the nestie just as I want it. Then I will print it onto card and then cut it with the shape I want. Even if you stamp a sentiment I always do it the same way. What ever way your 'sandwich' is set up for the Bug, lay the nestie down with the ridge facing the sentiment and hold in place with some low tack tape and pass it through the Bug with the rest of the 'sandwich', use an embossing mat after to get more of an edge. This way you know that its going to cut your sentiment perfectly. You can do this with punches as well and then you're not wasting expensive card just cheap printer paper.

I hope this helps but if it's not clear, please tell me 'cos what's rattling around in the head doesn't always reach the fingertips.

flourgirl, can you remember about three/four weeks ago someone posted a link about circle sentiments. I think you could adjust the size as I was thinking about using something like that with the circle nesties. I tend not to use the three smallest one very much and the circle sentiment look really nice. I know you can get rubber stamps but I thought I would have a play.

If you're going to invest in any set the most used of mine is the plain oblongs, they seem to fit lots of stamps.

No probs, Ali, at least I dont mind using the paper over and over again, I just move the sentiment around the test paper until I'm happy. Once I've got a general 'Happy Birthday' or other sentiment I save that as the template for other stuff, just a change of text colour to match the paper can make a heap of difference

    Louby, fab teabag holders :D

TheWife, lovely cards on your blog and Ben is very beautiful :j

Rusty, sorry about the dishwasher :(, something in ours got blocked and OH sorted it out - thank god - and it has been fine since, touch wood x

I've been to a meeting this morning for DS2's preschool about their Christmas fair and I sort of volunteered to organise getting raffle prizes   . The lady that did it last year raised over £1000 and had fantastic prizes such as a brand new Sat Nav. I've told them not to hold their breath for me to do as well ;)

    Hope everyone's ok today x

Rainmac, you know what we all can do and make, strength & weaknesses etc. (I can't cut straight :D) so if you need anything to help with the Christmas Fair, please let us know. I'm happy to help or donate stash. My daughter isn't interested in me doing anything for her littley's playschool.
