Skiergirl - welcome back - sorry to hear about your accident.

Myzdamena - great cards - I love how you've used actual pics on your footie one. Your stitched one is lovely - the beads look fab! Great daddy cards too - I bet your OH was impressed!

Bunbun - fab swing card - love the embossing on it!

Am I right in thinking that saveapenny is on holiday - I was just wondering where she was?

    I am here :hello:

Been very busy in our house last couple of days getting ready for new school term. Dropped my monkeys off to school/playschool, went to post office (watch out for postie mumhug and thewife ;)) then came home to a quiet house - first time in 7 weeks and put the kettle on, my dad then phoned and he and my mum kept me busy looking for a blinking TV for them on the internet until I had to go and collect DS2 from playschool. So my morning of leisurely doing nothing didn't happen. Oh well, have to try again on Thursday

Wow bunbun, what a fantastic card, your son is going to love it!!!

Flourgirl, your notepad/calendar board looks fab with the post-it notes, so are you going to enter it for the altering challenge, I think you definitely should ;)

Skiergirl, oh my goodness, hope you were all ok when your car was hit, must have been such a shock. Lovely to see you back and so sorry about your poor car xxx

mumhug, I am in love with Izzy, I am not going to show her pic to my OH as he is desperate to have a dog ;)

I made a card for the Basic Grey challenge last night, thought I'd give it a go as I have so much BG paper :ohttp://rainmacsplace.blogspot.com/

Going to make a few more coaster calendars tonight, had a sort through my BG paper stash last night and I need to use more of them so I can warrant buying some new ones ;)

Hope everyone's ok today :D. Have checked blogs and left comments, some beautiful creations :T

Oooh mum just emailed me some more photos of Nan.... that's another few pages sorted for the scrapbook when I can concentrate.... not going tooo badly I don't think but I still feel all 'cheaty' as I'm doing it on the PC... :(

...it's far more difficult than I thought though- I can't spend ages looking at the monitor at the moment..but needs must I suppose, it has to be done *before* the birthday and not next year! hehe

He tries to enthuse but he really can't understand why I don't just buy cards I think... as it costs a lot less to do so in the long run :rotfl:

...I keep giving cards to people to send to other people you see so I pay for the mats and don't get a return :rotfl:

...I think it's because I've been so unwell recently though.... he can't see why I'd make myself feel worse by playing about to make cards when I could be resting... but it's therapeutic even though it's tiring :o ... makes me feel good about myself.... like I'm actually making a difference instead of just being 'me at home doing sod all'

...then again cardmaking has replaced doing competitions in that respect and I'm not going to make 5k a year making cards like I did on the comps so maybe he's got a point :rotfl:

    ...so bye then :hello:

lol not really...you won't get rid of me that easily! :P

Thank-you. The note books were so easy I just used a piece of pretty paper cut to size with an overlap at the back then a piece of plain card to finish the back off. The letters are stickers by Basic Grey and the flowers from Calico Crafts. The notebooks are 15p Asda smart price ones and the long ones are 5 for 79p from the Range
