Just spent two hours reading Nappy Cake thread and see that lots of you talented people also make them. I am going to make one for nephew and girlfriend. Just wondered do you think I would be better waiting till know what they are having and do a blue or pink one or a neutral one in creams. I am going to also make them a hamper of baby toiletries so going to do the nappy cake with just clothes (although not sure if will need to put bottles in it to keep its shape) and will buy them some outfits to give seperatly when know sex of baby. Just I was going to start buying some stuff every week as will probably end up buying them a bigger present nearer the time as well.

I made one for a friend a few month's ago and she had said they were decorating the nursery with a Winnie the Pooh theme. I then made my nappy cake with Winnie the Pooh stuff, creams and beige tones. It would have suited a boy or a girl and I actually gave it to her before the baby arrived. You can still pick bits up such as nappies, toiletries, even if you want to use blue/pink colour scheme.

  • Hi,

Have added a new La Pashe card to my blog http://leialegweak.blogspot.com/.

Also which Xcut guilotine is it that everyone on here raves about? Is it the one with the big lever type thing?

So far i've been cutting everything by hand with my craft knife but after stealing my Mum's paper trimmer for the weekend realised it's so much quicker and easier!

    Thanks x

Had a fun day, found some crafty stuff at a carboot sale and went for a walk with the family in the woods at Witley Common and picked lots of blackberries.

Hadn't really thought about it to be quite honest! I was considering going to the Ally Pally show put am at my boyfriend's that weekend. If I were to go i'd probably drive but i've just checked and I don't have enough clubcard points so would have to pay full price for the ticket, which would make it quite expensive what with petrol, parking and ticket. Then again OH's Mum would probably be up for going. Are you still keen to go on the Saturday? Were you planning to take the train? x

Lei-Armstrong - fab card - love the image. I love your idea of stamping on the card blank, I made one of these cards recently and had the proper card blank but really struggled trying to figure out how to decorate the front.

Furrypig - great ccc challenge card - your embossing looks fab as does your image.

Hi everyone, All caught up with your posts. Have been busy making cards. I've used this months goody bag for september from Do crafts. The papers in it are lovely. Made a few post it note holders (also using the papers) They are so easy to make. I didn't buy coasters tho. I used cardboard I save from packaging. Sometimes you get it when you buy papers to make the package stiff (don't through anything out). Perfect for these holders (and cheaper). Hope to post some pics soon but dont know about photo bucket but I did set up a blog last year and hardley used it so when i get a bit of time will try and find it and post on there.
Thanks for all your blog links. I love checking them out.
    Wendy. x
Would love to earn an extra £40 a Week. Trying to find ways to :-)

Rainmac Well done on printing out all of the worksheets :) I am doing the grand plan which started yesterday so today I have got to deweed all of the front garden and power wash the front of the house.. YAY!! Then it's on to the car which was probably last cleaned inside about 6 months ago lol Did you just print some sheets or a plan?

I have just realised that everyone is asking about the matchbox advent calenders.. I thought you was asking for ideas on any advents lol Here is the one I made last year:

    Advent+Top.jpg

    Advent+Inside.jpg

    Advent+Front.jpg

I put chocolate coins and love hearts in the drawers. Not sure what I am going to put in there this year. Any ideas for things that are small enough?

    don't forget the 15% off code - PC22 ;)

THANK YOU for this code, i have been dithering over getting a cuttlebug for the last week. :T

I am so glad i waited an stumbled across the code as i have just ordered 1 and a load of dies and embossing folders for the grand total of £72 after discount has been applied plus £10 worth of loyalty points.

I would have been gutted if i had ordered it last week and then found the code, i knew there was a reason why i should have waited.

Oh so excited for the postie to arrive now.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
