Flourgirl - Huge Hugs to you & your sister & family - I can't even imagine what they must be feeling right now - I want to cry for them but it wont do any good so I'll say a prayer & inside out. xxx0

Wearing the knicks inside out for your family, flourgirl and hoping you hear better news very soon, everyone must be holding their breath.
I'm OK, ta, rainmac, been up since 1.30am, I woke up and could have swore blind that my two grandaughters in Canada were standing by the bed laughing and telling me to get up and do some crafting. So I did. I have to be like a church mouse on tippy-toes ( a 12 stone one at that) when OH is on early earlies and can't get to do much. At least I finished off the the US card swap that was for Valentines Day
and finished some thank you cards for Canada that are 4 weeks late.
:j Got me some Pro-Markers for my birthday from one of my boys and a set of PM's from Joanna Sheen from the other. Should be here on Monday. :j:whistle: Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Flourgirl - how awful. I really hope that things work out ok, and soon. It must be an incredibly stressful and scary time for the family.
Lou05 - poor littlies, they're too young to understand why they're ill. I hope they both get better soon x
Wifey - so I'm not the only one who 'sees' people (& dogs, lol) when I wake in the night. The difference is, it freaks me out! I could never dream of getting out of bed.
Hope everyone has a good weekend - I'm off to do some marking before messing around some more with the new blog xsome people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

Which stamps did you get then, jazabelle, Tell us more, did you do a make?
I got the roller stamps (both the bigger and little one) and various designs for those. They looked really effective. I got turquiose and pink ink, the stamp-a-ma-jig which helps you put stamps in exactly the right placed on your card. Ooh, and this awesome stamp cleaner - you have it open next to you and spray some cleaner on it, and after you've stamp you clean it on the 'wet' side and then dry it on the other side. It saves you from keep getting up to clean the stamps. The spray seems to last a long time as well, one lady had hers for 18 months and it was still going strong.
I didn't buy any actual stamps, but I qualified for two free sets of them (whoops!) and you get about six/seven stamps in each set. I got a birthday one, which had things like 'happy birthday' and presents and bits like that, and the other was a frames set.
Ooh, and I got scallopers! A square one and a circle, and a border one.
She demonstrated a couple of quick and easy card designs. She also had a pile of ready made cards, and on the back of each one it had the list of products needed to make it.
We all made a little sweetie holder, using folded up paper, then stamping a flower onto a bit of card and colouring it in with her brush markers and aqua pens.Glittermum wrote: »I can't remember who went to the Stampin Up party, but I'm having one here in a couple of weeks. One of the mums at school is a demonstrator so is coming round when my conservtory is finished. There's an offer on at the moment for a free set of stamps if you spend £45 though so I may put in an order before the party (offer ends this month) - I think I'll stock up on their paper that is supposed to be really good and lots of little coloured ink pads.
Yes, the offer is a set of 6/7 stamps. As I said, I qualified for two sets because I spent rather a lot. The stamps were really good, you hardly needed to press down, or use a mat and they came out really well.
The inks are a special design when the lid slides off, and so it stores the ink upside down at all times, so the ink doesn't dry out.
I really wish I'd bought some white ink, as it looked really effective on the darker paper.
Ohh, and I also bought some card selection. There are four different colour familes that all go together. I bought bold brights, and you get three of each colour.
You can also buy small squares of all the ink pads, rather than the bigger ones."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0 -
