I've just phoned Tesco HO and was told that promotional points take between 3-5 weeks to appear on your statement, so I was to be patient.

I still feel I am being misled though especially since others on this thread have received their points straight away.

The points should appear on the receipt at the time but as we are in a rollover period points for rewards due they wont appear on the total balance for a few more days until rewards are posted. The total showing on your receipts at the mo is the amount of rewards you are getting this quarter and all points added in these last 2 weeks wont appear quite yet. Once your mailing comes next week a new points total should appear on your receipts.

After reading this thread I popped into Tesco last night, the granny smiths £1 (8 in a pack) apples said 50 extra clubcard points on the shelf label, most of the other apples said buy 2 for 50 extra points, both stickers on the bags and on the shelf.

I bought one bag of the granny smiths and no points were added, went to CS who said its buy 2 bags, and said look, she then scanned the bag twice and to her amazement even scanning the bag twice did not produce 50 points.

She added the 50 points after reading the shelf edge label and agreeing there was no mention of buying 2 bags

I had no extra points shown on my till receipt at all, just the 1 point per £1 spent plus the extra few for using my own bags. There is absolutely nothing at all to say that i bought something where I was due to get extra points.

Actually I have found another error on my bill so will be going back today anyway. I spent £90 yesterday and there was an offer on that said you could get a bottle of vodka from the display for £10. My vodka has gone through at £18.42 and I've just spoken to them and it is the correct brand.

They already gave me back £9+ yesterday as I bought 2 bottles of cocktail drinks that were on special but went through at full price.

I usually only get one error per visit, this must be some sort of record, is this normal or am I just unlucky?

That sounds lucky, not unlucky, as won't they now have to give you back £16.84 on the vodka, that being DTD?

I always have problems in tescos with their so-called special offers. Whether its pricing or points you get to the till and its not recognised. I think they reckon most people wont be bothered to go to cs and sort it out. They are a total con.

I've just got back from Tesco and they agreed that the vodka was overcharged so I have been refunded £16.84. That means yesterday I spent a total of £27.40 on booze and have now been refunded £26.78!

I also took the opportunity to photograph the shelf edge label for the 50 points of granny smith apples (and it doesn't say you need to buy 2 bags) and have also photographed the SEL for the baked crisps (where you do have to buy 2 bags). I'm not quite sure what I am going to do with the photographs but I do have them.

What date does it say on the crisps label as the offer ended on 04/08, the offer from 05/08 is 2 packs for £2.50

    Same as soolin.

I bought champage recently, worked out cheaper to buy decent bottle as getting 800 points. Points we not added on at check out. I went to customer services, they called the award line.

I was told the points would be added manually at a later date. Am still waiting for the points to appear, a week has now passed. I may ring them tomorrow.
