Supposedly saving with EDF?

Why is T&C number 6 worded in the way it is then?
In fact, why is it even there at all??6. You agree to remain on the EDF Energy Online Tariff Version 5 for each account until the Online Tariff Version 5 comes to an end, which, unless we write to you to advise of any extension, shall be 31 July 2010 (the ‘End Date’).Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I dunno. You're the one eulogising EDF's wundertariff whilst criticising E-on's (RAN (90))days penalty despite believing EDF have a hundred percent of everything you've gained backdated clawback clause.0

Add this one to your list then.
You managed to formulate a reply to me on this thread yet (or were you just hoping it was going to disappear into the ether)?

I spoke to EDF today and they tell me that all Online Tariff Version 5 customers also all receive paper bills in the post (the Online refers to only being able to apply Online and being able to submit meter readings on their website it seems) and that they always notify any tariff changes on the bill and a covering notice with it about the price change.
The main question though is why corporate lawyers are still allowed to get away with writing such totally outrageous terms and conditions that in no way reflect how the company will actually operate the product on a day to day basis for the foreseeable future.
Well here's hoping as I have just switched my mother's Electricity only tariff over to this product (she lives in the Southern electricity area where it is still available) as it was £165 cheaper that Scottish Power's Online Tariff - No Standing Charge on her £650 per annum bill. Also £30 on top from https://www.topcashback.co.uk for a single fuel switch (compared to only £15 for a single fuel switch with most other suppliers) that my mother will probably insist that I keep.0
