He has had absolutely nothing, I walked out on him when I was 7 months gone and till she was 6 months old we communicated through solicitors, then he packed in contacting his solicitor, he saw her (not properly - she was all tucked up in her pram), when she was 3 months old he walked right passed us, and literally level with me looked the other way. he's never paid a penny maintance, shes 8 now.
So far spoke to the cafcass officer (social worker attached to the court) for my side of events, she was shocked that he wants to be daddy of the year, shes never had a card, present anything from him, uptill 1 yr ago he lived 5 miles away, hes now moved 70 miles away.
The lady who I spoke to, said usually its when the child is 9 is the general guideline that they ask the child, shes already decided she doesn't want anything to do with him, I've always bit my tounge and just said daddy lives away. The cafcass officer is recommending from my side he has no access, but again it depends on the judge, sods law my solicitors take 2 weeks complete off for xmas / new yr, they go back 5th and w've got directions hearing on the 12th - reckon from there then it be home visits etc.
What annoys me most is he had chance to be a dad, but he was violent and abusive hence walked away for my own safety, now his marriage has split up, that sounds like I'm a hussy, but what happened was I was 30 when we met, he was 31 - and he had told me his wife had left him , he'd moved up from London for a fresh start, they had no kids - he said they couldn't have kids, so I worked on the basis - hit 30 - theres baggage one way or another - his wife had left him, but not in the sense of choice, - the thruth which found out in bits and dabs too late - they'd moved up here to be nearer her family, and she was on court bail awaiting to be sentenced for fraud.........
According to his court application the marriage broke down, his new gf is expecting his child and she already has 6 kids........xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Had a nice little surprise, just going through all bank books etc, getting Dec's money sorted - we took a 12 month saving account 8% childrens bond, - earlier in the year - for dd, we managed to get 2, one as me as trustee and one as dad. so we've been swopping money here there and everywhere to get the months money ready.
I put £15 a month into online account, usually goes towards car ins, but this yr as I'd been extar good (50% of the time) that I didn't use it, so just transferred it off the debts - so had £180 as a nice surprise - shame it can't be spent, but every penny helps. Just got to check online payment for one card set up as minimum on dd but I also try and pay the same again - should help the total. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Ok, I've cheated slightly as I have added in the 2 payments due by 31st.
Grand total is
£10014
Thou in reality, I guess I spent about 3k of that back, as I was chucking at cards then realising got no money. So 2011 will be more pratical, -
These are some of the first few aims
Plan money better
Be prepared - car will need work for MOT
have another go at bank charges - as halifax have apparently lost my last 3 letters
Go through everything pay out and see where can reduce.
No buying new toilettries till i've used my supplies up
Don't buy DD unless she needs it, yes it may be a bargain, but its not a bargain if she doesn't wear it
Cull the wardrobe - ebay as necessary (mine and DDs - got her summer stuff from this yr - put it on Feb - seems to go ok.
Ask myself do I really need it, or just do I think I need it.
Look into uprading Halifax to reward account - yes its £12.50 pm, but non tax payer get the £6.25 instead of £5, (just remember cashpoint then back in over the counter) - reckon the travel ins alone save on - even if I just have the account for a yr - travel ins quote for me and DD - £125. the accounts paid for itself
Think that start me off ok. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Great progress M21
Im sure 2011 will be just as good:j0 -
I've just had the bargain of the century, back in July brought mum a jamie Oliver runner and placemat set - argos special, £7.99 instead of £25.00. Christmas day she decides she doesn't like it, checked the cat no it was showing at £24.99, no reciept took it back and normally if an item has been reduced - you only get the lowest price - no they refunded me £24.99 - so my little shopping list cost me nothing. Had to take a pair of headphones back for dad, brought him the size for a stearo - not his personal radio (£6)
Got Jack daniels bar set £4.00 instead of £10 - our neighbours 40th off dd
Got 5 piece union jack cookware (apron etc) for my GP for his xmas prezzie £5 instead of £10
Then a wii exercise disc - with a camera - (help) that was £17 instead fo £40
replacement headphones found some reduced to £1.99 a pair (he had 2 pairs), he won't use the in the ear ones, he likes the over the head - but a good afternoon spend, if only all shopping was like that xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
i just asked ds did he want to buy toy story 3 and he just asked me did he have a credit card!!! Not from me but home alone 2!!!!!!!!!!0
