Ouch - i've just checked by MBNA credit card statement online and I've been charged £117 interest. I thought the 0% interest period finished next month, but should have checked sooner, then I could perhaps have avoided it. Oh dear.

I have applied for a capital one platinum card, as recommended by martin, so should hear about that in a week or so (I don't anticipate any problems, but you never know), and i'll balance transfer onto that (fee free). It is 6.9% interest until Jan 2012, so the debt should be paid off by then.
    Current CC balance is £6837.

Ouch indeed to that interest. Hope you manage to get the other c/c ok with a much more manageable interest rate. How's everything else going?
