Sorry if this has been answered before, but i wanted to know how you would sign up for the offer if you did NOT already have an internet connection?
My son has moved, and he has got a telephone line, but no internet yet,so i tried to apply for him online, but as i used to be a customer of theirs, they recognise my email address,so should i use that for the time being? They ask for an email address, but if you don't have one, what do you do?

If your son has access to the Internet at work then he can himself online there. Does the local library offer free Internet access, because he can go there to sign himself up. If your son does not have an email address, either get him to set on up or set one up for him.
During the sign up process, bank details and other personal details will need to be filled in, so unless you have them all there, I would get in contact with your son so that he can help you fill in the details, maybe whilst filling in the details.
I would put all the details in your son's name (you said maybe use your email address for the time being). Otherwise the order might not go through because you state on the forms one name, and then on the outgoing name of the email address you have another name, they might think its a fake/fraud order.
IMHO I would not sign up with them yet not because I don't agree with the set up charge or the 18 month contract but to name a few, but because other ISPs will be waiting to hear about whether TalkTalk's offer has been successful or not. There is a price war going on and the others will react accordingly.
Sign up through Quidco and you get £40 for the 8Meg broadband.
Diverting slightly, is your son in a cable area? If yes has he considered ntl? If he is not bothered about making national or international calls or the speed of the connection then he could get telephone and 1Mb broadband for £24.99/month http://www.home.ntl.com/page/td2 Order online and you save a further £10
Sign up through Quidco and you get £27.50Offer applies to new customers only who order online. A £10 credit will be applied to your first bill. £10 online order discount is not available with 3 month half price broadband offer.0
