Where the comp goes should be based on the rules, not on whether OP is available or not. This comp is NOT an exception - the ruling for this comp applies to all the comps in PCL's daily sticky described as "ongoing" in the "Extra Entries into one prize draw" section.

thingamabob has picked up the real conflict in the rules:-

1) Regs Board - Daily drawn and/or entry comps with no overall promotion end date in an ongoing thread updated with change of prize/question etc

2) Main Board - Daily comps with an overall promotion end date as an ongoing thread with end date being the promotion end date. Linked in regs daily sticky

3) Main Board - Monthly drawn comps, regardless of length of promotion, posted in new thread each month (the key word is drawn so if a comp is drawn monthly it can be posted on the main board with an end date even if it can be entered daily/weekly).

There is no conflict between 1 & 2. The conflict is between 1 & 3. A promotion such as this (daily entry, monthly draw, monthly change of prize, ongoing promotion) fits both 1 & 3 perfectly. Can I suggest the wording for 3 is changed to:-

3) Main Board - Monthly drawn monthly entry comps, regardless of length of promotion, posted in new thread each month.

From how i read the rules -

This one should be posted on the main board once a month, as it has an end date and a new answer each month.
It should then have a link in the dailies, for those who like to enter comps every day.

This way, people who like to enter via the main board will see it at least once, people who comp by end date will see it at least once and those who comp via regulars will see it as regularly as they are prepared to comp.
