My daughter bought a Mothercare pushchair from a discount local shop.
This has one of those tags on, which sets off the alarm in certain shops. It's so embarrassing, that I avoid those shops now.
How can she get it removed? She doesn't have a receipt as far as I know, and definately not one from Mothercare.
I bought my son's pram from Mothercare and didn't realise the tag had been left on until I took him out in it for the first time and it set of loads of alarms.
In my case I took it into the Mothercare in the town I was in and they removed it, maybe your daughter could just ring the discount shop that she bought it from? It might not be the first one with the tag left on.
what a fascinating thread. I'd never given them a thought before. Loads of videos on different tags and how to remove them. I'm still struggling with sticky price tickets.
Erm, what's the problem with sending your kid to school with the tag on?
;-)
Round where I live, its so rough that its normal for half the kids to go to school wearing their tag, whilst most of the other ones just have an asbo instead
