02 unlimited web = free email?

I would've thought so as the emails will be downloaded/sent via an internet connection.0

How would you be accessing your emails? is it via the email bit in messaging or via the web bit? According to O2, the unlimited web bolt-on "can only be used for web browsing on your phone and a fair use policy applies... if your usage exceeds that of other users, which is normally expected to be below 200MB a month, you'll be charged standard rates for additional browsing."
I have the unlimited web bolt-on and access my googlemail via the gmail software (downloaded to my phone) which then uses the web to download the messages or via the web and have never been charged. Not sure how you would fair with using the email bit in the messaging as it uses POP3 settings and that may count as data rather than web browsing. Might be worth checking with O2 direct0 -
Its email bit in messaging I think because theres a email setup section.0
