Beat Budget Airline Charges Discussion: BMI Baby

Lots of interesting stuff about bmibaby here. I was under the impression that they were slightly better than easyjet, so was willing to swallow about 25gbp for a one-way to avoid easyjet. I don't hugely mind the seat allocation fee, because just 2 pounds more gives us extra leg room. (I'm 5'11" and my fiance' is 6'4", so this is an absolute must!) However, reading some of your horror stories about check-in not working and credit card fees per person are worrisome. If I'm going budget airline any way, should I just start off with the cheapest fare and go easyjet?

Any bmibaby changes may not happen soon, it's just a wait and see at the moment.

Hey this seems to be the place for bmibaby.
Recently booked a couple of flights but only now noticed that i've put my surname in twice; once in the first name box and again in surname. So it appears as Karl Ington Ington (not my actual name). My real name is...pretty rare so the mistake is obvious and couldn't be anything other than what it is. I've just tried phoning and for some reason the number isn't working on my land line. Could I realistically just chance my arm and just ignore this and claim ignorance or am I likely to be extorted through fees now?
I appreciate whatever advice I can get as after a lot of frantic internetting I've got nothing. I don't think anyone's been this much of an eejit before :P other than this surname duplication every other detail is perfect including those of my travel partner.

just applied for one of these easycash electron debit cards.

wished i'd done it earlier as paid £7 for using normal debit card for flight to faro (birmingham to faro rtn £103 inc debit card charge) hand luggage only (going to be wearing 3 tshirts and 2 trousers lol) and online checkin 16 days before flight.
