Someone was kind enough to give me an invite, for which I was grateful.

But tbh, apart from the storage ... I don't rate it at all. The first time I logged in there was five junk mails! so I don't think I'd store anything of importance there

Did you get a really good or simple name? Google don't send you the junk emails, in fact it's very good that they sort them out otherwise they'd just go in with your main inbox. Plus what has junk mail got to do with storing anything of importance in there?

No, I just used a nickname that I use elsewhere.

I wasn't knocking G Mail for that reason though, and I appreciate that they sort it and send it to junk.

Haven't used it much to be honest, been busy with my other mail account but I sorta found it strange that before I've even used it, I've got 4 or 5 junk mails. But I get spammed a lot on a Yahoo account so obviously it's just a case of spammers sending multi-mails out that'll find any names that are remotely like mine?

As for me not wanting to store anything of importance on GMail? I wouldn't until it's been tried and tested for longer, regardless of junk mail getting through. Just didn't like the fact it did get through but it's no big deal to me.
