    forget about them!

YOU NO LONGER NEED A INVITATION TO SIGN UP FOR GOOGLE MAIL

    http://mail.google.com

Yes you can now sign up for GoogleMail without a invite, but some folks still have G-Mail Invites which you cant sign up for in the UK.
  • not true. IF you have a uk ip it will sign up as googlemail but you can send to gmail. Where did you get this from. the invites are useless.

You can now sign up without an invite at http://mail.google.com so I have unstuck this thread.

If you are in the UK, you will be signed up for googlemail.

To get a non UK google account i.e. gmail.com and not googlemail.com, use a browser window that masks your IP. You then get the option to select a gmail.com account.

This is a valid workaround so you arent forced to have a googlemail account.

Note that your googlemail account is still linked to the gmail version. That means roger@googlemail.com and roger@gmail.com are the same address.

Hi. Which browsers are you talking about here? - I have IE and Firefox. Also, will I need an invite for gmail?

    Thanks!
