Hi

I'm thinking of getting a gmail address, but could anyone familiar with it answer a couple of questions?

- what are they like for reliability (I'd be using POP to access it, rather than webmail)?

- how intrusive is the advertising? I assume it's just a side panel, and you don't receive separate advertising emails from them?

- can you only have one account? (or is it possible to invite yourself?)

To answer a couple of your questions at least -

I find reliability very good though there have been odd glitches where access was not available (but in my experience it has been back within a couple of minutes). Haven't accessed via pop though.

Minimal adverts, no e-mails sent. I use 'Adblock' as an option on my PC and so don't actually see any adds.

Yes, you can invite yourself. I believe I have used an invite to the same msn account to invite myself more than once (but not 100% certain). You could always set up an extra free e-mail a/c with another provider just to use to invite yourself though !
