It seems that some of the gmail servers are accepting @gmail.com but some servers don't. Go through the proxy when you apply just to be sure.0

I can't work out the difference between x@gmail.com and x@googlemail.com either. I assumed I had a gmail.com address and always gave it out as such. Have just realised that I'm actually @googlemail.com but it doesn't seem to have stopped my messages getting through.

lol i never noticed that. I own @gmail.com (when i signed up) and I just emailed the same thing @googlemail.com and i got the email
