T-mobile failed credit check

Hi,
I just applied for the following Sim only deal; http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/sim-card/pay-monthly/pay-monthly-solo/solo-20/allowances/ and T-mobile have turned me down on credit. They did offer me the same deal where you have to "top up" to use minutes outside of the bundle, but this includes 0845 minutes which I need for work and I need them to be immediately accessible, I can't afford to run out basically.
I am writing to the credit department to ask them to reconsider, but I was wondering if anybody knew if there was anything in particular I should say or how long it will take, as I really wanted to sign up ASAP so I could cancel my current Vodafone deal, which is over £40/month, but perfectly paid up.
Also I have a pretty much perfect credit record, only downside is I have a lot of "available" credit on credit cards, but they're all balanced at £0 apart from two, one I'm paying over minimum and one I'm clearing each month. Not a single missed payment though!

Are you on the electoral roll-that's the first thing they check for?
Having £0 balance doesn't mean that you won't go out tomorrow and rack up your entire credit limit in one crazy shopping spree (though I'm sure you won't)-the potential for debt exists because you have the credit available. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Can't help you with the failed credit check, but are you sure about the solo plans allowing you to call 0845 numbers for free? I thought only the flext plans allowed you to do that?0 -

Yup - understand that, which is why I think I've been turned down for another credit card about 2 months ago....which also might not have helped. But really didn't think it'd hurt with a mobile phone contract!
Sorry - my fault. I meant that 0845 numbers are OUTSIDE of my bundle, so to call an 0845 number I'd have to top up using Solo Fixed. And I can't afford to try calling one of my support lines at work and not get through because I forgot to top up (and I would do that!!)Can't help you with the failed credit check, but are you sure about the solo plans allowing you to call 0845 numbers for free? Have you tried https://www.saynoto0870.com to see if you can find a geographical number for your support number? At least it might help a little.0
