Hi, I have a dell inspiron 1501 running xp and recently a norton security scan icon has appered on my desktop. At first I wasn't too worried as I assumed it was bundeled with all the other junk dell installed. However today i tried to run the program and on updating it, the text "hit apply to being using the updated…

Still not found any bogies, after reading this thread: http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=other&thread.id=6787&view=by_date_ascending&page=1 I am starting to think maybe its the real version and its just rubbish. By the sound of it theres a problem with the uninstaller and it gets sneakily installed with shockwave and google pack.
I'll let you know if I find out any different.
