Hi all I signed a new mobile phone contract on friday and now I am regretting not going for the iphone, despite the sales man telling me the phone I have got is alot better, and tbh honest it is a nice phone but it's not the iphone.

So can I take it back and cancel?

What did you get? If it was from the O2 shop you might have a chance but they're not obliged to.

Did you buy it over the 'phone or at a shop?? If from a shop unless the contract states you can take it back (have you read it??) then you're dependent on their charity.

If over the 'phone or by the internet you are governed by "Distance selling regulations" and have (can't remember) either 7 or 14 days to take it back...

    Cheers!

I got it in a shop. I can't see anything in the contract. I thought there was a standard 'cooling off' time with any credit agreement??

    I(t was o2 wasn't it?

No they're not obliged to give you a cooling off period, only when it comes to distance selling regs, o2 do offer an instore 14 day exchange or return though.

I don't think Orange give a 14 day return instore. From Google it looks like I'm right.
