Had my first MS crisis today. Had a supermarket visit and I had to see two departments. One dept fine but the other I couldnt find a staff member to speak to!! I waited 45 minutes, gave up cos it was becoming obvious. The best bit the one staff member who should have been able to help promptly told me her lunch started in two minutes at which point she would no longer help.....she wasnt replaced during her break......... they lost at least three customers because no one could answer queries......I have emailed TNS and asked what to do about the questionnaire. Hope I did the right thing!
Had a similar situation on mine - no one in the departments, really freustrating and you look totally stooopid trecking round the aisles looking for someone in several departments. Got so fed up with it all and I was in there for nearly and hour. I then left and realised I hadnt been to customer service or petrol - OMG what a day and when I got outside the heavens opened and I got totally drenched getting back to the car.
Guess I wont be getting paid for that one then - lol - ah well - you cant win em all
Sorry hear hear about the foot HB - hope its soon better
I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box -

    I'm confused.

I've just had a job come up in my area at a station but you have to actually buy a ticket to get to the outlet and then order some food.

All fine, but you only get £3 reimbursement, the cheapest train fare is £3 and I'm meant to get some food too.

What's that all about then? I don't want to turn it down, but I'm going to be out of pocket to start with! Any advice greatfully received!

Those ones are not worth doing if you are buying the train ticket just to do the job. They're better suited to people who are travelling on the train anyway.
Here I go again on my own....

GR is no better, report submitted last Friday, still pending....

GR shows PAYMENT pending, they don't stop you from accepting other assignments whilst they proof read your report.

I picked up my first job for them a few days in advance and then another job was released for that day which I picked up and did so I had 2 on the go before I had even completed any. Just to show how good GR are my first job was on the 30th, I was paid the next day on the 1st!

I've picked up a few of these even though I never travel by train. I only do them if I'm in that town. I don't buy a ticket to get on the platform - I go to the guard with my paperwork and explain that I will be right back. I've never had any problems with this and am just let onto the platform. Infact I now don't have to show any paperwork as the guards know me and just let me through! Actually I think it's my little 2 year old daughter they remember but I'm not complaining. :rotfl:

Is anyone else having problems with the GAP website, or is it just me? I hope it means they are making improvements, I've not managed to get 1 job since the site changed to the new format.

Thanks Josie thats really helpful, so they will pay me up to the reimbursement then even though theyve only told me I have GOT to buy a drink ....

    (
You may spend more than the claim limit if you wish, but will only be reimbursed up to the amount
    stated above for the drink.
    )

If I buy two drinks and a food item will they still pay the set reimbursement ?

Sorry I am not up to speed with how TNS 'work' !

I've never actually bought 2 drinks in the one transaction, because I thought it would probably affect the timing, so I only buy food and maybe a bottle of Coke or something.

If the reimbursement was £17 (for example - if only!) then you spend £16.95 and they will reimburse you £16.95, not £17.

No, I hate it too and haven't had a job on it yet either! You could easily tell on the old site when a new upload had happened, because you could see the number of jobs in brackets, but now there's no way to just search all the stamp shop jobs for instance.

Also, I'm going to Stafford today and can't work out how to see if there are any jobs there!

Edit: just looked back at ukm's list and worked it out. I always thought the SK postcode was Stoke, because that's what I use for Buxton, and it's about 25 miles from Stoke, but turns out it's for Stockport. Anyway, now worked out ST is Stoke and that covers Stafford - blimey!
