Yep, I had an email from them today confirming exactly that. Shame really but no loss to my figure!0 -
Has anyone done any holiday phone calls on grass roots? I'm not having much luck with it, 1st call they hung up 30 seconds in so I gave them the benefit and called back but then they wanted to take my number and call me back. That was 20 mins ago.
8pm is the cut off for the job so do I -
a) wait until 8pm and do the report based on whats happened so far, it'll have given them an hour to call me back.
b) call them again at 7:30.
or
c) call grass roots (if they're open) and ask their opinion0 -
Has anyone noticed RE have become strict on photos of shopfronts lately? I did a clothes shop that used to use either BARE or Tern and they required a photo of the shop. I provided one, but they said the image was unacceptable as the shops name was obscured by an outside canopy the shop used that day (bearing in mind it is summer and the sun does shine occasionally even in the UK) This new recruit at RE patronised me saying I blatently didn't follow the instructions so would not be paid. Having just been paid for the job I responded to the ladies 3rd or 4th email of abuse saying "thanks for the constructive feedback I have just been paid" On closer inspection of the shops website it appears it was the only shop in their network that didn't have a shopfront image on the website. Are they trying to use my image without paying for the rights?0

Hey I hope you're all enjoying the weekend.
Question about RE jobs where the date has expired - in the past I've picked up jobs in the evening where the final date was today or yesterday and just called them up the next morning or that afternoon if they're open to ask if I can change the date to the next as it obviously can't be done by the last date. They've always been fine with it and happy that someone is going to take it.
However last night I picked up some where the deadline was that afternoon but didn't realise RE are not open on Saturday. TGhis means I won't be able to call them until monday, so the assignments will look 2 days late - I'm worried they'll deallocate them or when I call up they'll say its far too late and take them off me (losing points?).
So I just wondered whether anyone has any experience of this situation?
Thanks for any help. xSlowly working towards earning enough money (through various ventures) to live unworriedly, treat my family and sleep under a lovely roof. x0 -
If it's the one I'm thinking of then I'd only just call it a sports shop. It's more a fashion shop really, with fashionable sportswear. I did one, but couldn't find anything to buy it was awful. They don't actually sell any sports equipment in my local one. I wouldn't do it again, personally. But I guess I'm probably not one of their target customers anyway, so prob just as well!
I think you're right Josie - thanks for that! We've just been past the shop on another job, and discovered that this shop is not the one I thought it was - I'd asked hubby where it was and he said it was further down the shopping centre, the one where he had bought his own badminton racket... so I thought great, I'll get one for my son. However, I now see which shop it is and don't think they will have anything I want to buy. Looks like I'll have to release the job, which I feel bad about, but only accepted it in the first place because I wanted to get a racket. It's not as if the fee will even compensate for my time
Oh well... off to write my report now, feeling rather full as I've just had a meal courtesy of RE!0 -

Not sure whether to ask this here on make a new topic but here goes. On RE there's a couple of railway station jobs. Do you get reimbursed for the train ticket? Sorry if that sounds a silly question, but on the assignment details it mentions 'submitting your expenses' but it doesn't specify if this is your purchase or travel fees etc. Just wondering if anyone knew?0

Unfortunately the expenses are what you spend in the station food outlet only. For some of the jobs you need a train ticket in order to be able to access the platforms where the outlet is located. They assume that you will only pick up those jobs if you are travelling through the station anyway and therefore don't reimburse any ticket costs.0 -
Afternoon all.
I have just returned from trying to complete an 'underground sandwich' shop but it was shut! According to the times on the door they are not open on a Sunday. I am now out of pocket as I have printed the paper work and travelled to the place (not to mention that was going to be my tea tonight!:p)
Does anyone know if I will receive any sort of payment for this. I have emailed the company invloved but those of you who know who I mean will know they are not always prompt at repling! Just wondering if anyone else has ever been in the same boat?
Thanks

It's very annoying when that happens. I've noticed that RE now get you to phone some of the pubs first to confirm their opening hours and food service times. They then get out of paying if the place is closed and you haven't done that. I don't like ringing first as I might as well just say "hi - I'm your mystery shopper this month and I'll be arriving very soon":rolleyes:0
