Ah ok thank you. Btw, I realise the MS'ing companies wouldn't do your petrol etc. I should have been clearer. You can tell I'm new to all this
Well I guess it would depend on it being 'wholly and necessarily' then. I can't travel by car so I am relying on using the train to do my mystery shops. At the moment, there is nothing remotely local on RE for me to do. I'm happy to travel as I enjoy train journeys. But if it means I have for fork out then it defeats the object of doing a job. It's a grey area. I think I shall stick to the closer jobs as it looks as if it will open a can of worms if I want to claim the costs back!
Thanks for the advice
Go back in time 2 years or so and most MS companies DID refund your petrol costs. And there are some which still do. Some will also refund things like train tickets if you have to go beyond the barrier. But with the influx of shoppers who will work for just reimbursement, the expenses have been removed by most companies and fees are far less too.
I used to mystery shop a lot - I considered it my full time job at one point. I don't do much now.

And if you are, and its the burger job you're talking about then i've got a drive thru booked for that same one on Sunday. Might that explain it?I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box - :rolleyes:0

Yep, I'm in the same town too! Wow, we're getting quite a collection of us out in the sticks!
I'm banned from burgers though so fill your boots!0 -

I accepted a MS for RE. It's an expired one but I emailed them to try and rearrange the date for Wednesday. Still not heard back and getting a bit frustrated now because I've been on probation for AGES and this is my opportunity to get off it.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I only have one coffee job this week on Saturday, serves me right for going on holiday for 2 weeks. Need to get back in the swing of things!0 -
Has anyone ever done any work for REACT? I'm just wondering when they pay. I did one assignment for them last month and can't find any info re payment anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.0

Is RE taking ages for everyone else in terms of proof reading? Did an assignment last week and it still hasn't been read. Wonder if I'm having problems with my account as when I log in, it shows that there are jobs available but then they all disappear.....0

They replied saying that I would be paid when they verified that it was definately closed! I noticed that they added the fee to another job I had done so was quite pleased!Anyway.....what have I just seen.....the job is up again on the available assignments page!!! Do they not listen??? My fee for the closed job is still showing btw!!
And i know its definately shut as its a different shop now.0 -
