So, if they're not wearing glasses, the answer is 'they were not wearing glasses.' if you haven't mentioned that, then it's quite right that they should query it...
You see, I'd have thought that they needed to ask "if glasses were worn or not" to get that answer, but we're probably getting lost in the semantics of the English language and it's 20 years since I did my degree so I can't bloody remember
I was quite surprised that they hadn't picked me up for this on all my previous reports if it was so important to themAnyway, I now know to mention it in the future.......

Just had a call from RE more or less calling me a liar and I am fuming .
Hubby and I did a fish restaurant job where we waited over 1/2 hour for prawn cocktail starters. We asked where they were after 25 minutes (as you would), and at the end of the meal the manager took them off the bill as they said that they agreed it was a ridiculous length of time to wait. RE have just phoned to ask if we made a written complaint to the head office, and said that it's very strange because somebody has complained with my details and with the same table number etc.
I most definitely did not complain as I know that's one of the things it says not to do in all the briefs, but RE said they will be investigating it further because it's strange that this particular restaurant has always had high scores in the past. Funny that isn't it . Do you smell a rat here, or am I being unfair??0 -
Surely the name and address given on the letter obviously won't match yours! Maybe it was a disgruntled member of staff who wrote the letter? Someone is trying it on, somewhere!!0

Sounds to me like the restaurant didn't like your report, and are fibbing to RE that they've had a letter of complaint, because they know that it's against the rules for a MS-er to complain, and they can get out of paying them (and hence you!) for your visit.
Stick to your guns, ask to see a copy of the letter, ask to see the signature on the letter .... DAMMIT - go the whole hog - ask them to fingerprint it, LOL!!!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

She also kept saying to me "Are you sure nobody else went with you?". It's really strange. I think that the staff must be really arguing it our because of the bad report. Do you think they will have it on cctv?

I don't understand the abai alert?0

That's what I can't understand. How could anybody at the restaurant know my details, particularly as we paid cash?

If you paid cash, there would be no way they could get your details unless someone working there knew you!! I think the restaurant is just trying it on and lets hope RE have some sense and demand to see this "letter". What is the betting it will be typed up and not have any address details on it. Hmmm...0
