Oooh, hoping my ABAi letters arrive today!

Regarding the coffee, I've only ever seen coffee in petrol stations next to motorways or major roads. The normal petrol stations in towns and villages don't have them. I've even been to a couple in the city (i.e. Central London) and they didn't have any.

That said, I do recall one near my "mum" and "dad" 's (terms used loosely) oop Norf that used to have a coffee machine thing, and also had a microwave for pies etc, it even had a pot noodle machine, but that was maybe 10 years ago.

As far as I know we don't have any fancy coffee in any of the petrol stations here in Bristol either!

We don't have any ABAi petrol stations local to Bristol which is a shame really.

And that's why you put "No glasses" because it does help to identify someone.

That's what RE were asking for (you commented as much)

But they weren't asking for it originally. Their assignment notes state that they need "gender, height, hair colour and length, and whether glasses were worn". They don't ask you "if glasses are worn or not" and they've not had a problem with my previous reports.

I think we might have to agree to disagree. :) To me, putting 'no glasses' is like putting "she didn't have a fringe or she didn't have blue eyes" - if it's not there and it's not a uniform issue why would you mention it? I had to give a statement to the police yesterday after witnessing a crime - in my description of the criminal it didn't occur to me to say "and he had no glasses" and they certainly didn't ask.

Regarding identification - I gave the staff members name, which was a very unusual name, and mentioned her height and her long, blonde, tied back, curly hair. If they can't work out from her name and description which member of staff I'm referring to and they still need me to say "no glasses", then I think they've got problems! :p

...Their assignment notes state that they need "gender, height, hair colour and length, and whether glasses were worn"...

So, if they're not wearing glasses, the answer is 'they were not wearing glasses.' if you haven't mentioned that, then it's quite right that they should query it...
