The trouble with a BlackBerry for ms'ing is that you can't view a lot of the websites to select jobs, such as Gap and Gfk and the ones you can like Abai you can't actually select the job on it anyway, so it ends up being more frustrating - you get an email alert from the alerts thread and can't accept the job.
OK for the company who can't be named or any others who just email work through, though.
And the trouble with the iPhone is that it is built on very old technology. I had phones 4 years ago that were as good as the new iPhone - total ripoff, but the clever marketing wins people over, good business strategy, though highly unethical.
I have a Nokia N-Series, and can view RE, Gap, ABAi without problem (as in, I can view jobs, accept jobs, reschedule jobs, etc. Never tried filling in a report using myphone though. I'd expect Gap and ABAi to be fine, but RE maybe not.), never tried Gfk or GR tbh. I'd expect Gfk to be fine, but GR may be a different story.
Bad things have been said about the N series phones, I've had 4 and only had trouble with the first one (which was one of the first N-series models).
I'd see if you can a friend who has a blackberry who you could maybe ytest the MS sites on, same for an N-series Nokia, and for the iPhone.
The iPhone really is a ripoff though, you're paying for the name, not for the technology - very very poor value.0 -
The iPhone is horribly expensive, but my husband loves his. We also have Macs at home (I have to use this manky Windows laptop for my typing work but there you go). I much prefer Macs / Apple technology ...... maybe it's just horses for coursesFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

I'm sorry if this is really obvious or if it has been answered previously - I have read quite a few posts but not found any about this. I would really appreciate any help
Here is how you do it.
Before you start, try to clear your browser's cookie cache because some firewalls and browsers interact to create a loop efffect which can make this procedure difficult.
1. go here http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=sit...=&start=0&sa=N
2. Sixth one down is for petrol company click on it
3. Bottom right it says register, click on it.
4. Complete the form (yes I know you are already registered with Abai but you still have to complete the form)
You have now added that petrol company to your list of job possibilities.
5 Go back to step 1 above and follow the same procedure for the other companies that you see there.
Acknowledgments to banypanky and saveit who explained this and to ascoil who helped me with the dreaded loop
If you get stuck send me a personal message0 -

I had the Nokia N95 8GB and I hated it
Upgraded a few months ago to the Sony C905 and I love it. I can view a number of company websites on it and it has a better camera IMO.Here I go again on my own....0 -
Morning all,
Now without opening a can of worms and abarrage of "read the first post" comments, can anyone PM me the link to add the phone shops to ABA-i
Thanks, in trepedation!0 -
There will be another wave of phone shops between now and Christmas. No idea about the green shops (I do understand your clue, btw, but had to think for a moment!!).And the trouble with the iPhone is that it is built on very old technology. OK monkey boy I'm going to come right out and ask you something that has been prying on my mind for ages.
Do you work for ABAi?????
My reasons for thinking this:
(1) You claim to have only been Mystery shopping for 5 months and yet have a huge knowledge of all areas to do with it, even more than some of us who have been doing it for over 2 years and manage to produce your fab Logger , with everything a MS-er needs, with only 5 months knowledge?
(2) You always seem to know when ABAi will pay and when jobs are coming out
(3) You frequently tell us how fab ABAi are
(4) Youve been absent from the thread for a few days but as soon as someone asks how to add ABAi clients you pop up to direct them to the first thread.
So ... do you work for them or not?I had the Nokia N95 8GB and I hated it

I may be speaking out of turn but I don't think he does. My reason for that is that he sometimes works in the same area as me (which is nowhere near ABA-i's office) and has sometimes PM'd me about jobs available in my area, not just with aba-i but also with other companies. I think he just asks ABA-i a lot of questions when he contacts them.Happy New Year :beer:0
