Well the time had come for my poor body to have a rest from burgers, chicken and pizza so hubby and I just returned from a fab Chinese buffet !! Incidentally, the age range in the restaurant was from around 2 to 80 - seems people of any age can eat Chinese then !!!
I'm wondering why a round pizza comes in a square box -

I'm sorry but if Holly wants to go to her local pub and is lucky enough to be able to save a bit of money on it then I don't see how that means that EVERYONE suffers.

If you don't want to do the jobs then don't sign up to them but you have no right to say that others shouldn't take the jobs. Afterall those of us who take them only lose our time and not money. So as far as I'm concerned it's still money towards the overdraft and also an evening out.
I have to agree with you Lil, everyone is entitled to decide what they will or will not do. We all know the fees and reimbursements so we can take it or leave it. The sooner people realise that they will never make a decent living from MSing the better - Im around £3 out of pocket for pizza jobs if you look at the figures in terms of financial loss or gain. But the way I see it, I have had a meal worth quite a few quid, I havn't had to cook it and there is next to no washing up. How can that be anything but a good result.
Im sure there are many who will disagree but as I said, we are all entitled to our own opinions and choices and others should respect this. Each to their own in this world eh?

I am sorry that you are in such a poor position that you see that as your night out, 1 free drink each and £4 below minimum wage for filling in the massive report that awaits your return from the pub.If only my night out was so cheap. Ill guess and say you might have a second and a 3rd drink in the pub giving you the unfortunate position of actually being out of pocket, should have stayed in and saved money instead lol.Its the knock on effect and the larger picture that you are either blind to or dont care about.

You won't convince them! I feel the same way but as RE have this huge datebase of shoppers, the jobs always go eventually. I guess some people look on it as a free drink tht they wouldn't normally be able to go for.
Personally, I am not willing to fill in 100+ questions for a free drink and peanuts pay!
Right then Gmac9i, the best thing to do, which is what I have done, is give RE a wide berth, sign up to better paying companies and leave the RE jobs to the people who enjoy them and stop moaning about it. I haven't accepted an RE job for about 6 months because basically they are poor payers (albeit always very punctual) so I do other jobs with other companies that pay much better. If people want to do the RE jobs, leave them to it. It's none of our business.

I believe it's called self-discipline. I am not a heavy drinker and I realise that a night out is made by the company you're with and not how much you spend so I'm sure you are wishing that you can have as much fun as I do without spending so much!
  • Hi all,
Got my reimbursement back for the Tern opticians I did last week, so thanks for the reassurance. Would like to do some more as there are quite a few left but because it will involve two trips I just dont think it would be worth it unfortunately!

I'm doing some edigital surverys and I need to make some enquiries via phone. Just wondering if anyone's got any ideas what I can ask without sounding completely stupid? All the obvious questions are answered on the website. Surely if I could manage to find a phone number, then I could manage to read an FAQ? Any ideas?
    Thanks
Reclaiming for family and friends. Won 4/13 so far
    HSBC CC - £263.25, Halifax CC - £179.45, HFC PPI - £589.00, HSBC PPI - £498.86, Lloyds PPI 1 - £400

I dont think any of us should judge, or indeed comment, on whether or not somebody is in a 'poor position'. I personally wouldn't do these jobs as I live in a rural area, and the travel costs would far outweigh the free drink and small fee, but if I lived within walking distance of at least a couple of them, and was going out anyway, then I might think again. It all comes down to personal choice. That's why the jobs are self allocation.

Queries about delivery is always a good one - like - can it be delivered to an alternate address as its for a friend (if you dot actually have to receive an item), or ask about returns policies or gift wrapping services, there are so many things you can ask as most people would fail to read the small print anyway and Im sure they get thousands of questions asked of them.
