The badge looked brand new and as it was shiny and the letters had not worn off. The writing on the badge said "Maria". The badge was worn throughout the duration of my visit to the shop."
I think I'll use that on my next RE report (restaurant on Saturday evening).0 -
a good example of when companies want your opinion on things, is Gfk, they ask questions at the end of several sections of their reports, I can't remember their exact wording, but they're along the lines of:
- Please explain your rating for the "closing of the sale" process (i.e what happened)
- Please explain your rating for the "closing of the sale" process (i.e how did it make you feel)
IMHO this is a very good way to word questions.0 -

I need to contact TNS urgently – I can not find the tel. number. If anyone can help
Many thanks0 -
Good examples there Becles. Another one from another company gives a good example of rather say the staff were obviously bored is The staff appeared to be bored.
For the poster who had the problem I would recommend Tern. They are tough to work for but they demand spot on reports and each one is evaluated with comments on why your report was good or why it was bad. I have done the odd one where I got slated by their reviewer but learned a lot by the criticism. So I recently got a 10 saying my report was not only invaluable to their client but was so professional it was a pleasure to read.
And Tern are sticklers that you stick to the brief..
Also never comment on anything the staff cannot do anything about. That is the staff cannot make the shop bigger but they can give good service to the customers.
Wow, I never know Tern had such a reputation. I felt good about getting 10 out of 10 for my first report for them, with a comment of "Excellent report that required no editing. Well done", now i feel even better still! :T0 -

I'm not perfect, I don't profess to be!
I did once balls-up a TNS visit to a supermarket, The visit was to be done between [for example] 7-9pm, and I went at something like 8.50pm and didn't get out until 9.05pm. I didn't get paid for the visit as I'd not completed it within the guidelines. To be fair, if I'd simply walked quick in the store, and ran from the car to the store, then it'd have been fine as all the counter/desks that I needed were all shut up anyway, but obviously if I'd got out by 8.59pm then they'd have had to pay me for it. But I didn't, so they didn't!

Also, I meesed up with GAP when they called yesterday by not asking them for a higher fee as well as the 14 extra jobs, but, you live and learn!0 -
Also, someone, HollyP (who's name isn't even Holly!) i think, mentioned not getting report queries even when they were new; the only one I've had so far (from memory) was from a recent RE bookies, when they were asking me if I was sure there was only one customer in the shop. I explained that yes, I was sure, and that their client should check CCTV before querying other aspects of my report. I never heard anymore from them, and they've paid me. I did 6 that day I think, I'd had enough by the 4th!0
